Here's a tip. Being hostile towards them is not going to get them to respond.

Do they need to step foward like Damon Lindelof of Lost or Stephen King's and the Dark Tower did and DEFEND their choices? I think so. But it has to be a healthy, non-hostile conversation, and I'm not sure this forum is capable of that.

I can carry on a semi civil conversation with them about the game in general if they can over look the occasional smart assed remark.

Smart ass by nature can't be helped

If they are like the Dragon Age 2 devs, I'm sure they can handle that.  But it took over a year for Epler and Gaider to sit down and start talking about D2 on the forums.  They let the irrational vitriol die down.  And the people left on the Dragon Age boards, you know fans, can talk to them about what they want to see in the future.  It's respectable and refreshing.  Compared to this cesspool.  That and Gaider has thick skin.  But you'd be amazed how far you can go without resorting to calling them "liars" or "greedy" or "they don't respect us" or "they don't care about the fans."  Until Mass Effect fans can learn to do that, I don't expect to hear from them.

Even though I'd LOVE to.  I want to hear their take on the game.  I think it would be interesting.

Their take on the game: Ha ha, we got your money!

Seriously though, yeah Gaider has thick skin, and I respect that. I just don't understand why you wouldn't get steep shoulders in a market like this; a market where an idea you have may sound f'n brilliant to you, but to thirteen other people it sounds like utter ****e. I'm part of the %5 that think they don't care about their fans, not when they spin a web of lies and overhype their game to the point of insanity.

I'm going to roleplay a bit here.

They are liars and cowards. Don't they realise that with every thread created to voice our displeasure, the EA stocks drop a few dollars? If they are not careful, they will find it hard to even sell 100 copies of DA3. Anger your fanbase and you will pay. History has proven this. I'm officially giving up on Bioware. Going to return all my Bioware games, even BG2. Let's see how well Bioware can cope without me.

I just puked in my mouth saying that.

Never.

They'll probably say some things in some press interviews next year, but my guess is they're never going to account for it here.

But what would they say? I know they goofed. I know to be wary of them in the future. What else is there?

Yeah, back before they could easily do it. There is no excuse now. Today isn't yesterday. Defending them in this way is regressive and pointless. We CAN all talk to each other instantaneously now. They have no excuse. They can't ask for fan feedback one moment and ignore us the next. Their bottom line can't handle the negative word of mouth that can spread like wildfire to the vast majority of people in the entire world within a few solitary days.

Ladies and Gentlemen. Get out your popcorn tubs. Prepare for the arrival. Of drama.

Will start off by saying I think Bioware could have handled this all a LOT better. That goes without saying. But save your fury for after the extended cut, no matter how hard it is.

Why?

The last time that I heard from Mr. Hudson, he told me that there would be 16 different endings to ME3. I only got 3. To be honest, I really don't want to hear from him anymore because his words carry little value.

I don't think you're going to see them comment on BSN. I see the next likely place where you would any commentary at all would be in an interview format in a controlled setting (single interviewer). At most, I could see something like Slashdot's Q&A interviews, where people send in comments to a moderator, the moderator weeds through the submissions, then poses selected questions to the person being interviewed.

It was actually pretty bad. Perhaps you could make less assumptions about people.

You are no different than they are.

Neither am I.

Never. ME3 is sold well initially and I think it is still doing well. As long as it makes money they have no reason to admit any wrongdoing because they aren't wrong if they are successful. On the Dragon Age 2 forums, I called out David Gaider for having the whole Mage vs Templar choice and then making 99% of the mages in the game a clear and present danger to themselves and everyone around (and more than likely straight up evil). Gaider basically told me to ****** off. Like a month or two ago when it was clear DA2 was less than successful I saw an interview in which Gaider actually acknowledged that they realized that there were not many good mages in the game and they probably should not have done that. Gaider would have never admitted that if DA2 had been some huge money maker like say ME3.

And I applaud Mr. Gaider for saying ****** off. Not because of you or what you said. But because he took the time to read what people said and replied. The DA team handled the fan base in a different, and I feel better, way than the ME team has done.

Once again. Nothing against you or what was said.

I imagine we will hear something after the EC. It's hard to know what they should say about the EC because we don't know what is in it. I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise with them having undersold and over-delivered on it. We shall see. But I wish we had a more precise ETA for the EC, surely they could give us that?

ME3 has made money but it may have not have reached it's goal.

The budget of game development is the only cost they have to cover.

I tend to agree but at the same time the ME3 team announced the EC pretty quickly and have tried being very vague on it. Their response really depends on the EC, if they don't want to spoil that I can understand them avoiding all media.

This is basic business. Maybe not as melodramatic as in your statement, but basic business. Not sure why you don't know this.

Everyone here is guilty of some sort of bull****, myself included. It doesn't matter whether you are Pro or Anti ending, both sides are in just as much bile as the other. One is simply more vocal, the other is more passive aggressive.

Both sides are at fault.

Really? ME3 is doing well when it's price dropped to $29.99 in some markets? Meanwhile, Elder of Scrolls V: Skyrim is still at it's original price of $59.99 and that game was released six months ago?

ME3 may have did well initially, but as soon as the negative word of mouth about the ending spread like wildfire, all hope was lost.

The game has turned a profit.  That's the goal, so they won.

IP damage and brand loyality loss isn't without cost. The reason EA buys companies/developers is because these have a history of making good products and they have interesting IPs. If EA keeps destroying those assets for quick turnaround they probably have a failing business model. Stockmarket agrees with this sentiment.

The slight differences in the endings probably get you 16 permutations.
