Several of you have taunted me, unfairly of course, stating sarcastically that someone with my supposedly "radical" or "extreme" beliefs would probably go so far as to support Cerbeus and the Illusive Man. Well, guess what? You absolutely f****ing right. Every other race uses their particular advantages to secure their spot in the galaxy over the others. The Asari use their economy and secret Prothean technology, the Turians have their military, the Salarians have their intelligence services and special forces. Humans don't have any of that. So in order to ensure our place in the balance of power, and eventually dominate all the other races, we need to use whaever means possible. Therefore, the Reapers become very convenient for us. With their unstoppable fleet and priceless indoctrination technology, we can take control of the mentally inferior species such as the Krogan, take control of the abominable synthetics and bring them into our fold, and use the mighty Reaper fleet to destroy our enemies. Then we can usher in a golden age of humanity and ensure our dominance in the galaxy for eternity. Anyone who disagrees is a fool.

I don't think I'd mind being dominated by asari.

My thoughts on Cerberus are incomplete because of the character assassination that was done in ME3 just for the sake of making them the bad guys. I loved Cerberus from ME2. ME3 invokes a massive face_plain for the completely spastic and terrible writing.

Pretty much. Killing reapers all game would have been boring so they made cerberus into idiots.

Pretty much this. Though I didn't love them and didn't particularly agree with their methods, but I still respected their ideals.

And also OP...

honestly I don`t know what they said about you and cerburus but yeah ceberus is just dumb and cause trouble for no reason even before reapers look in the codex they kill officials who aren`t extremists and honestly the illusive man watches over every project we know this from me2 so he knew what they did to jack at that camp and the other kids and didn`t care

yeah honestly by my theory the illusive man would have gotten further if they focused on their control thing instead trying to stop shepard constantly but he is not smart anymore

Then you are all fools. I would sacrifice a billion humans if I got to control the Reapers and dominate the galaxy, ushering in an eternity of Pax Humana.

Well this is a twist i was expecting the next one to be about how we should hate pants becaues they're an inferior clothing item, and should be replaced with kilts or something.

I like how you think you're qualified to be responsible for the lives of 1 billion people. Can't we just sacrifice you instead?

Which one was that?  Sorry, its hard to remember a civilization whose republic was the true form of itself, then died.  Then the corpse crippled, divided itself, lost one half, was taken over by the Saracens, and then when the Holy version of itself moved to Russia, was overthrown again.

Its fun bringing up names of people who did something that has been long forgotten by many, and when anyone remembers any point of their virtue, will not follow it.

One of the great truly awful people in the history of humanity. Caligula was a brute who killed without hesitation and neraly bankrupted Rome with his activities.

Tinto Brass made an awful film about him.

Yes, a genius who did not even bother to come up with a back up plan just in case things went south. Meaning in case he fails to control to the Reapers which he did cuz he was indoctrinated, he should have had another alternative in place. :wizard:

Very much this

I would point out that we DO use our strengths - adaptability, eagerness to learn, relentlessness - to get ahead in the ME universe. Key examples being Shanxi and Bekenstein(sp) we didn't beat the Turians initially, but we did better than most other specied would, and eventually drove them off, despite a technological disadvantage. Bekenstein supplies the Citadel with most of it's luxury goods. then there are the smaller things like carriers, which are a human innovation.

tl;dr, we are newcomers power-wise, but we are catching up quickly without Cerberus being a necessesity
