Cerberus on Dagger is far from a farming match. It's actually fun and requires teamwork and coordination.

People already do that, that's how some will wander around to the back. But if they spawn at that spot, or out by the catwalk in the back a sniper won't be able to do that.

It may well be that they'll spawn behind the room or outside it (where snipers sometimes stay). If that happens it'll become a bit harder to farm it, but not much. You can just have a sniper on the side or just outside the room near the ammo crates. He can still easily shoot at enemies from there.

I see it a lot. I guess Firebase Dagger is just a favorite, then. It's great for snipers. It isn't hard if you stay in the tower... that is, until the phantoms come storming in.

I love how people keep talking about them changing the spawn. If you keep saying this, you don't know how the spawn system works and what a major change it would be game wide to have spawns come in directly on top of you.

There are 2 spawns in the camp area of FBW. But the spawn system is coded to not spawn enemies if players are already in the spawn area region before the spawn timer ticks into the next spawn. Ergo, without changing the system to spawn on top of you, THEY CAN"T SPAWN THERE. If they do change the entire spawn system, then every single map in the game and every enemy faction just became a lot more challenging.

I don't see it happening that way, simply because they don't really alter anything that isn't just a Coalesced.ini edit.

Nice and underhanded, Bioware. Wouldn't expect anything else from the "new you". People making credits too fast on FBWGG? Better buff the geth and make it harder, that way people will buy more Bioware points, right?

Agreed. When they refer to spawning, they're likely to be talking about wave composition. Changing spawn locations would likely require editing the map files, which would need to be done in a patch.

If you didn't know, that condition can be overridden (it happens when you are hacking) to be only a LoS condition: as long as you don't see the enemies spawn, they can spawn wherever they want. This is what sometimes creates the impression of endless banshees/primes spawning one after the other.

Again, if they do make that change, it alters the spawn dynamic across every single map and also will allow mobs to spawn on top of you. I was not aware you could set it to LoS in Coalesced, but if they do that then it is beyond stupid.

Cheers on you trying to address the issue of lame players farming geth on gold.... its just stupid... bloody salarian infiltrators hiding in the corner on firebaseghost... i would set a kill timer if you start camping for too long on gold... but hey.. who i am to ask an actually challenging gold team play..

It could either be a wonderful change or a very disappointing change depending on the actual implementation. If the Eagle becomes an actually useful weapon and FBWGG gets broken I will be very pleasantly surprised. On the other hand, I fear that FBWGG will still work, Geth will simply become harder for everyplace else again, and the Eagle will still be easily the worst pistol in the game with a pitiful 10% damage buff.

So we'll see what happens.

My team and I just got our asses handed to us on Condor/Geth/Gold (using all mid-teens characters, but still, we always use mid-teens and normally win 8 or 9 out of 10 games), so I really hope they dont try to nerf FBWGG by simply making the Geth more powerful.
