Not with Return to Ostergar. Maybe someday... but probably not.

Do you mean like Lizardpeople or do you mean Antivans?  They're been pretty vocal about not planning any new origins which I'd think means no new playable races.

New races are even less likely than new origins, which is itself so unlikely as to only have a chance in the "anything is possible" sense.

a new race would involve a *lot* of work. not just new models/textures, but lots of dialogue and story additions to reflect it. if it happens, I'd imagine it'd probably get it's own DLC rather than being a feature in one
