The Witcher 2 was already on my radar since they announced the xbox360 port. Played through it twice and it is an excellent game. Apart from a few nitpicks here and there, it is an excellently crafted story. Its mature status doesn't just come from the nudity or violence in-game, it also points toward the weight and complexity of the decisions you have to make as a very reluctant, and very under appreciated hero; and I use the term hero loosely.
Also people should know that next to NOTHING Yahtzee says should be taken seriously, even when he sounds serious. In his witcher 2 review, he comments that the game seems "nightmarishly long"; I f**king wish. It's about the length of a standard full ME run so it clocks in at about 30-40 hours. I remember in his Arkham City review where he said you couldn't do the side missions post-game; more lies. All of the side missions in that game can be completed post-game.
He didn't say TW2 was long. He said "From what I understand is a nightmarishly long game." Saying he doesn't know but thats what he hears.
If I remember right, he didn't even finish either Witcher games b/c he hates them.
He also said it was stupid to not have any player training. Then they added a tutorial.....fancy that.
He could have made an honest mistake regarding Batman.....ppl aren't perfect.
Edit: rewatching that episode....theres actually a lot of truth to it. Like naming the spells stupid names so you have no idea what you're casting until you use 1 a bunch of times, the unresponsive combat, and how the writing is dark like every other M rated RPG out there.
