Ashley just told me she hopes the reapers send me to hell.

It's not a sufficient condition for her shooting you - it's only a necessary one. If you don't pay any attention to her after Eva wipes the floor with her, and you have a cruddy paragon/renegade score, then you will fail to make her believe you. On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that you cannot make her your LI in ME3 if you don't bring her gifts while hospitalized.MegaSovereign wrote...

Did you visit her in the hospital? Give her any gifts? Were you nice to her most of the time?
If your answers to all three questions are no, then I'm not surprised.
Why does Shepard have to give her gifts in order for her not to wish him ill will?

I wish i could have sent her unconscious body out of the airlock after mars and just told the alliance she was KIA.
this, god she was annoying, at one point i was cheering on EVA. I wish before you left earth you could just push her off the normandy and say 'i think anderson needs the help'
In the end i simply refused to let her back on the normandy.

Hell Mars tells you everything you need to know about the two
Kaidan is buzzing you about Cerberus cause let's be honest... Cerberus seems to know where Shepard is at all times. but His questioning is more investigative.
Ashley... Ashley seems to be trying to provoke a reaction out of you so she can gauge you.

Ugh, just watched the video. She's such a b*tch throughout that whole sequence! Kaidan is obviously really struggling with an ethical dilemma, Ash seems all too happy to off you without batting an eyelash. So glad I always virmire her.
And I'm glad I treat her nicely so she barely hesitates before turning her gun on Udina.
I'm so nice I even let her shoot him

Ah let's be honest here. Ashely is basically Udina with boobs and slightly better hair. She'd betray you at the tip of a hat.

Ashley is a suspicious minded soldier. As long as she trusts you, she'll back you fully. She doesn't trust Udina worth a damn, but she's a Spectre agent charged with protecting the lives of the council, and won't let her past affection or friendship with you get in the way of what looks, to her, mighty suspicious. She's much more quick to act than Kailen is, IMO. Soldiers tend to need to make quick decisions, especially when others are pointing guns at them. Kailen fails in this regard. Good drama, poor soldiering.

After being nice to Ash and everything I managed to calm her down easy, Ash is sort of really annoying, very untrusting of Shepard despite the fact that he saved humanity from the collectors and prevented the demise of the galaxy.

Sure Shepard worked with Cerberus, to take down the Collectors. I guess she doesn't trust him because Ash never saw a Collector and didn't get say, frozen in place by those things.
Oh wait...

... Surprisingly, Shepard feels very bad about it, and characters DO bring up the fact that Ashley and I were in a relationship in the past after the fact. That surprised me.

Just ignore her in ME3.Ryzaki wrote...
Okay so you can play a paragon in ME1 (save the council and whatnot) and still get this scene just by being mean on Mars and ignoring her in ME3? Or do you have to save the base?
That way, for her you become this person who never tried to talk to you for over 2 years while working for Cerberus (oops! Sorry, I meant, collaborated with Cerberus), spent a very brief time with you again on Mars, watched you get absolutely mauled and sent to Intensive Care - but never bothered to see you again until they suddenly show up during a Cerberus invasion of the CItadel along with all the other forces who are trying to assasinate the council. No. That doesn't look suspicious at all.
Oh good to know.
As for your suspicious remark. Not my fault the VS is incapable of basic intelligence gathering. They're in contact enough with Hackett for him to offer a spot on his ship but they can't be bothered to ask about Shep and Cerberus? Screw them.

I figure at that point she thinks he's on board with the whole control the reapers for our own, like TIM. Kinda makes her statement seem more like "I hope you idiots(Cerbeus) get what you deserve for betraying us(Alliance)", rather than the whole galaxy failing.

Interesting thought. For folks that play ME2 in other languages - is the "you" in her comment singular, or plural? (stupid English language...)Fawx9 wrote...

Yeah, Liara shot her on my ultimate Renedouchey playthrough.
Well, I guess that's one way to end a love triangle.

I'll test it out next time I play the game! I know Garrus mentions it on the Normandy, I wonder what EDI and Liara say...

I didn't remember that the VS was offered a staff spot on Hackett's flagship. When did that happen? Was it pre-ME3, and I just missed it in the intro movie? But even so, I'm not sure why he/she would bring it up with the Admiral. An Admiral's staff has a certain amount of communicative leeway that a normal officer of that rank wouldn't have, but I'm not sure that bringing up Shepherd would or should occur, since it would be completely outside of the scope of their duties.
And note - this assumes they are on his staff. If they are merely crewing the ship, no way would they be chatting it up with an Admiral. That just doesn't happen.
