If talking to the crew is a good show...Garrus is shown doing such. He's the only one I think ever shown talking directly to a random crewmember and not just another squadmate. (Though another squadmate is with him if you have Javik).

I assume characters like Cortez and Adams count as "squadmates" for these purposes, then?

Random crewmember.

I wouldn't consider Cortez and Adams as random.

All right then; I was just making sure that's what you meant.

Hey, now that I think about it, wasn't that actually the only time any of the random crew members talked in ME3?

There's those two guards talking near that scanner... They even had names (don't remeber though).

Nah that's not irony.

Irony would be if Wrex was a squaddie and he shot her.

I'd lmao if that happened.

It's too bad that she's already there for me.

Actually no. It's not bad. I gladly chose Kaidan. <3

If Wrex had come out of no where and shot her I'd be dying of laughter tbh

and I know Garrus shooting her wasn't irony in that sense but from my point of view it was irony because she was all distrusting of Garrus in ME1....looks like he proved her distrust right...Muhahahha!!

Way to revive an old unpleasant thread. So tired of the Ashley bashing. You'd think after 5 years people would play a different note.

Stay classy ash, stay classy.
I really wished I would have saved Kaidan, in matter of fact the only reason I didn't was because Ash was younger........

You shot her to death.  I think she's right to be pissed.

She talked me down since ME2, also the whole point is illogical, If i was working for cerberus I would have shot you by now why couldn't she just believe me.

You joined a group which is basically the fusion of Al-qaeda and the illluminati, how do you think she would react?

...how on Earth is Cerberus the Illumanti? That's closer to the Asari gov't than Cerberus.

I just split with her during that elevator talk in most of my playthroughs. At least she'll get me some war asset points that way and it prevents her annoying presence on the Normandy.

It's the closest real life comparison I can make. They are a terrorist group with vast amounts of wealth and resources with many members in high levels of government and corporations. No they aren't all powerful but they are powerful enough.

Do we have any evidence that Cerberus has people in upper levels of gov't that aren't humanity? Remember humanity is fresh meat in the ME universe. They don't have as much power as some of the other council races.

And...no they aren't powerful enough to be a good comparison to the Illuminati. They don't have nearly as much control over the global economy or technology (which...the Asari kind of do). Unless I missed some info about Cerberus?

They're good. But they're not Illuminati level good.

the entire scene is stupid. Ashley is cool back in ME1. Then see her in ME3 well can you blame why so many hate her now??!!

Bioware ruin her as they ruined Mass Effect 3.

Enough said.

They don't need to be involved in the other governemnts they areinvolved enough in ours to cause major problems. Although I think we are simply arguing semantics right now do you agree on my original premise however?

I saved Ash because she had a family to go back to. Kaiden didn't. Can't say it makes the decision right or wrong, though. Just quick reasoning.

The whole point of the Illumanti is that their control and/or influence is pretty much EVERYWHERE in the world you can't avoid it. (or if you can it's only barely). If you impose that on ME universe that quickly becomes almost full control over galatic policies and laws. ...Cerberus doesn't have that. Not even remotely.

The closest to that is the Asari.

That's why I'm arguing the analogy is heavily flawed.

Cerberus has no where near enough power and influence to be considered close to the Illumanti. That's all I'm saying. You'd be better of comparing them to a normal but highly influential terrorist group.

What if my Shepard didn't believe in "Hell"? Maybe someone should've told her that. (not that I ever shot her or Kaidan. That's just rude.)

Nah, that's wrong.

Most of the hate for Ash is based on ME1 with some extra salt from ME2 (Horizon).
However, in ME3, Ashley simply has no redeeming features except her romance. If you never connected to her in ME1, you won't do in ME3. She's going to be a meh-character you don't care for. If you hated her in ME1, you won't love her in ME3. If you loved her in ME1, you might still love her in ME3 - or go back to "meh, don't care" in worst cases,

And new guys? "Meh, don't care." Ash simply is incomplete in ME3.
