How exactly do they know how "nice" you were to the VS?

I'm inclined to believe you, but was it something in the ME1 import? Because it makes sense to me for Kaidan with my canon Shep, not sure why Ash didn't put the gun away for femshep though, don't remember being bad to her.

Also, didn't get this from Ash when Troll!Shep shot her, and I remember vividly being mean to her in ME1.

Whether you told your crew to lower their weapons or not during the confrontation also affects it, but not sure by how much.

On a video I saw, Shepard managed to sort of calm him down and she still shot him

If you can't convince Wrex to stand down he has to be dealt with. I thought this was made pretty clear. You should've been leveling those skills anyway.

It's not just that. Council decision from ME1 influences the stand-off, so does the survival of Salarian Councilour when he/she is attacked by Kai Leng. Cheating on Ashley/Kaidan (and lying about it) also counts. Check my post above

first play through and I did just not as high as I could. I went back and fixed it my next play through but I just resent Ashely for killing him the first time I ever played ME

if you couldn't convince her to stand down, then that's because you didn't choose the right options throughout the game...

I choose the options that I would have chosen in real life, I feel betrayed that she loved me but she couldn't trust me.

Women are emotional creatures. Save the galaxy with them once, be a good person to everyone else--great! But after you shoot them, they will remember the recent times when you didn't pay enough attention to them and use that as justification for saying mean things to you. Just how it goes.

I killed Ashley on Virmire because Kaiden was my LI. But Kaiden really annoys me, and I kind of regret it becuase I prefer Ashley as a friend than Kaiden as a love interest (weirdly enough). He just got too annoying for me. My next playthroughs I'll him and romance Garrus instead.
I think if you weren't nice to her, she says that to you.

Basically this 

I killed her on Virmire for being insufficiently passionate about her supposed love for me.  At least Liara saved my body from the Collectors and then had me resurrected.  She's been dealing with the fallout ever since - hence her war with the Shadow Broker.  It's basically all about you.

So I highly recommend Liara.  Gonna see how she does on my current trilogy playthrough - never been loyal to her the whole way through (dumped her for jack and then kaidan last time).

I always have the trust with Kaidan, so it's impossible for me to "fail" that scene.

Still had no problem with this part...

Probably because I visited her in the hospitol frequently, saved the Council in ME1 and Thane helped me save the Salarian Councilor from Kai Leng...

Ash was my LI, but she was really lacking in ME3.  Everytime I would go visit her on the Normandy it was all "Good to see you".  Just consoled her and her sister at the Memorial Wall?  "Good to see you".  Just survived a stand down with our guns pointed at each other?  "Good to see you".  Commited to a relationship with her?  "Commander".  Oh ... well, at least she's not saying  *presses A*  "Good to see you".  Ah hell!
