Ashley just told me she hopes the reapers send me to hell.

But she twice refused to stand by me: once on Horizon, once at the Citadel, and then repeatedly in small matters where she stopped trusting me. So I asked myself, doesn't Shepard deserve better?.
Why, yes, yes he does.

She *is* kind of ****y throughout. I just started an ME1-3 playthrough, and I'd forgotten how much of a pain in the ass she is. Comments like, "Uh Hellooo, Ms Prothean Expert, I thought you were supposed to know all this stuff." to Liara really make me want to leave her ass in the smoking crater at Virmire....

This.
Ashley acted like a tool from the beginning in ME1, where I romanced her (talk about relationships you come to regret!). Then in ME2 she blew me off (because I was with some Cerberus guys, never mind I was trying to save the frickin' galaxy!). Then in ME3 she was all "let's get back together!" and came over as if nothing had happened.
There were two very satisfying moments in ME3. The first was when I decided NOT to buy her a present in the hospital. I kept her at arms length the whole time. The second when I got to put a bullet in her untrusting ass during the Udina scenes.
I mean, seriously, that **** has issues.

How about an option to tell her that I don't need to prove her a damn thing. The game was so focused on trying to make Ash look the victim and my Shepard could never give her a good answer, always just Ash ranting and Shepard maybe saying "you need to trust me". or "I understand your concern".
Now, I visited her at the hospital and crap, wasn't unreasonable at her or anything, but in the end she's still trusting Udina over me. Udina, the guy who betrayed us in ME1. She's always on about how she needs to trust me. But I could never say that I need to trust her, and I do NOT trust her.
I saw the paragon and renegade speeches, but decided to choose the neutral one because if she likes Udina so much, she can die with him. Cruel? Maybe. But amongst a reaper invasion, the least I should expect is trust, especially from people who were at the beginning. If she isn't smart enough to see the bigger threat, she's useless, and someone who I couldn't trust to have my back, ever.

Ashley's suspicions are a good thing, and
are part of what makes me like her. If your significant other started
running around with a brutal gang of murderous thugs who kidnapped
people and performed Mengele-style experiments on them, you might start
to reevaluate the relationship. Ashley wasn't indoctrinated by the
facade of a friendly crew. She knew what Cerberus was all along. She
was right and Shepard was wrong.
Her suspicion is not a good thing. You can like her character, I won't blame you, but that's just silly. Maybe it was somewhat reasonable in ME2, but in ME3 it wasn't. And the "she was right, Shepard was wrong" argument it pointless, Shepard only fully trusts illusive man if the player chooses to, and gives him the base. Shepard never did any pro-cerberus stuff in my playthrough, the whole "killing the collectors by using Cerberus" thing worked, the collectors died, and Cerberus didn't profit from it at all. So, no she wasn't right. I always said it was a "necessary evil" that I was using, and I was right.
Her untrust however, is not right, and I shouldn't need to be super-nice and forgiving to her, if she isn't. She needed a good speech where I could tell her to get over it and trust her superior officers. She's clearly not fit for duty.

Eh, my playthrough had Shepard highly suspicious of TIM and Cerberus, but having to make do with the lesser of two evils and using the flawed tools available to stop the greater immediate threat of the Reapers. I loved her tough-minded attitude, but the immediate reversion to distrust got a little old...

Sure you might be a grudging collaborator, but you're still working with the most evil group in the history of humanity. People didn't exactly shower Quisling with love either.JackofStaves wrote...

I absolutely LOLed at the amount of gifts it was possible to give to Ashley.
Kaidan? Just give him some booze and he's cool about it.
Ashley? There was chocolates, flowers, and like six or seven different poetry collections.
...Yeah.

That just reminded me of something. FemShep is voiced by Jennifer Hale (Bastila) and Kaidan is voiced by Raphael Sbarge (Carth). Oh, the conversations that Carth and Bastila had.
I just wish FemShep sounded like Bastila and not her current VO work. FemShep seems to try and talk manly during ME.

Was that a Reaper destroyer.
Some say it was just an orbital defence Reaper.

It was an anti-air cannon mounted on the back of a Reaper Destroyer. The only difference between the one that got hugged to death by Kalros and the one who died from a Cain was the giant cannon on the back of the latter. Everything else is visibly identical.

I 'd prefer some sort of other execution against him.
Maybe your squadmate holds him down and you biotic fist him or tear his guts out or drop him to his death after breaking his arms.

Was the Reaper on Rannoch a Capital ship then?
