So there's a My Little Pony level in the game?

Blizzard always has some crazy easter egg. Come on Plants vs. Zombies in WoW is the best!

Pretty much. Everyone was complaining about how the game was not dark enough and then at one of the cons the devs came out with diablo tshirts with unicorns on them.
And that is the new Cow Level.

And honestly I have been thru enough of the dungrouns and zones and there are plenty of dark creepy areas for my taste.

Well I only have the starter edition but I enjoy it. I could easily waste time on it as for the leveling experience I don't care what anyone says it's improved. People can say they miss the stats all they want but who didn't just pick the best stat for their class? There is a lot of room for customization of your abilites also but at a low level you can only choose so many runes. It's Diablo so don't expect an amazing story what I play Blizzard games for is amazing gameplay.

Why do you pc gamers tolerate not being able to "log on" to play your games?

It's so nice to sit back on the couch, open up your disk drive, pop in the game and play.

I had invested a large amount into TOR. I spent 500 bucks at the time for Ge Force 580GTX, even better I bought a 24 inch screen from DELL. I never kept my xbox360's or PS3 because I got bored of them and wound up selling them usually for around a hundred.

I feel the need to go back to playing on my console. What other games are out there. I was looking to ME3 and TOR. Now I kinda feel need to get my PS3 and play heavy rain. Both games imo scored terrible. This is 4 out of 10? what does that game about gaming companys.

I own a 360, so I can't recommend Heavy Rain. However, next gen I'm a free agent because I have no loyalty to ps3 or 360...in fact...ps3 has more exclusives that fit my tastes. I've heard Heavy Rain is good and like an interactive novel, but there are others that are more qualified to provide a recommendation.

I recommend Dark Souls...if you want a dark, serious, extremely challenging and engrossing dungeon crawler RPG that's open and full of good loot and oodles of mystery, its definitely for you.

I recommend this game highly. But it is extremely challenging. Look up the review on YouTube from Gamespot. That review is pretty fair and will give you a great idea of the atmosphere, concepts and elements of the game.

TBH Obsidian deserved it for releasing a bugged game. Maybe they'll learn in future.

Most every game has bugs, FONV has had nothing major for me.

If they didn't like the terms of their deal, they shouldn't have agreed to it. At any rate their bonus was based on critic scores, not user scores.

That doesn't refute the general point. As for agreeing to the deal, the alternative was in all probability not to do the game, which is hardly realistic.

Technically, this is exactly like having to login to Origin to play Mass Effect 3.

ME3 doesn't require an always on connection to the origin servers.

Mass Effect 3 was rated far better than it deserves, Diablo was review-bombed.

I respect your opinion, but again, how is a game you spend $60 of your hard-earned money that people literally cannot play at launch worthy of anything but a 0/10? Then, additionally, hordes of gamers experience massive lagging from the servers that are disrupting their (singleplayer) games.

If Blizzard demands on incorporating DRM for their benevolent real money auction house, its logical to incorporate the DRM into the game itself and any experience with it as part of the game. The consumer sure didn't ask for DRM.

If technical bugs rate a full game a 0, then every single TES launch is a 0. Including the sacred monster called Skyrim which is unplayable to a huge bunch of folks due to bugs and the usual crashes. The almost expected BTD crash every TES game suffers from justifies a rating of 0 then.....

NO, the full game is what matters. I cannot rate a game I haven't played yet. If I rent a movie and my VCR (Yes, still have one) eats the tape & thus ruins movie night.... I'm not rating the movie or the VCR as a 0 either.

Ironic you bring up TES. Since you admitted its a duel street, where is Blizzard's bug belittling? Then again, TES is still multiple times larger than Diablo 3.

If this summer you went to see a movie you're very much looking forward to...buying popcorn and a big soda and you get there early...and you proceed to stare at a blank screen for 2 or 3 hours because the production company made it so you had to log into a server to watch, I highly doubt you'd be very happy.

I bet you'd be tempted to. Sitting there, soda and popcorn staring at a blank screen. It's not like you asked for that movie to be on a server. It could be gold in a film reel, that you paid a solid $12 for. Maybe you took off work...using a vacation day to see it...all wasted.

Btw...not being confrontational...just good lively discussion, my fellow gamer :)

No, I wouldn't. I'd give the cinema's manager a piece of my mind, demand a refund and do something else that day.

I do not think you can compare this two games' user score performance because they failed in different ways. although ME3 is a very good game, BioWare still failed because they had no idea what their fans want. Blizzard just temporarily failed . Once their servers are up, fans will be back and play it for years. the Meta user score means nothing to Blizzard but it will hurt BioWare.

Actually, most "lags" is likely having bad internet and / or hardware.
I myself played with a guy who complained and raged about the sh!tty servers, but oddly, only he had lags and they got less when he turned the graphic setting down........

As for the "not being able to play at launch": Yes, it is a problem. I myself was pissed when I had to wait a few hours due to the servers being full. But it is to be expected; I was actually impressed with how LITTLE trouble there was. I expected much worse.

Lastly, on the topic of DRM: That is surely a debatable thing; I am not a fan of DRM myself and refuse to use the likes of Steam. However, I dont mind the way Blizzard did because it also brings a lot of advantages imo.
And personally, I think of Diablo as a cooperative multiplayer game anyways, not a SP game.

But yes: the DRM is the only reason I accept for giving a 0 rating, I give you that.

I disagree with you on this.IMO,the reason why they seem to ignore what we want is they actually know what they are doing.

No, that's not the point. The point is, Diablo 3 is OBJECTIVELY NOT a bad game.

Sure, you can have your qualm with the DRM. But that is a Blizzard thing, not Diablo-specific, SC2 has the very same thing, and WoW too, though that is a different story due to being a monthly fee MMO.

You can dislike the gameplay, sure, but that is a matter of taste, not quality.

The thing is: Diablo 3 delivers what it promises, so a bad rating is not valid (if you dont like the promise to start with, that is valid, but no reason to rate it badly - just dont play it then),

ME3, otoh, did not, in my opinion and that of many others (But let's keep this topic out plz),

Objectively? Objectively ME3 is anything but a bad game. D3 also is noy a bad game. No matter who or how many disagree.
