True, but the fact they promised choices makes it one.   It is widely known even among the "haters" that ME3 is great except for the ending (and who knows - maybe the EC will actually fix that. We shall see in summer).

I do not think you can compare this two games' user score performance because they failed in different ways. although ME3 is a very good game, BioWare still failed because they had no idea what their fans want. Blizzard just temporarily failed . Once their servers are up, fans will be back and play it for years. the Meta user score means nothing to Blizzard but it will hurt BioWare.

I disagree with you on this.IMO,the reason why they seem to ignore what we want is they actually know what they are doing.

Yes, but that doesnt matter if what they do is not wanted :wizard:

Really?Just waiting for EC and see for ourselves.

There are choices, plenty of them. Not liking them doesn't nullify that.

But I too hope that the EC will improve folks' perception of the endings.

Not really. I think the game is bad from beginning to end, barring strong points here and there.

I think mass effect 3's ending is servicable. even at end of Baldur's Gate seires, the player can only make 3 choices too and it was satisfying. the problem of ME3 ending is it's too ambiguous.

ME3 is a mediocre shooter with a bottom of the barrel pulp schlock story. Everything from the retconned Cerberus sith empire, the beyond horrid crucible plot and having Alliance officials act like blubbering morons in the intro to jack the player off was atrocious.

Why did you play it again?

Coming from you though? Again, not surprising. I'm at the end of my rope with Witcher fanboys.

And I'm a Witcher fangirl myself. Takes a whole lot to make me this fed up.

Take it that way, hon, if you like. To be honest: Yours is no longer an opinion that matters to me when it comes to the quality or lack thereof of Bioware games. I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

I still consider you a friend and admire your wit & intelligence however. So there's that.

Well, glad to know my opinion was always of no use to you, even pre-DAII when we fought for the same things. (I.E. Loghain)

I played it for the pew pew and I was a Mass Effect fan long before I even played the Witcher.

Besides, I don't have to compare ME3 to Witcher to see what a tremedous POS the former is with it's crucible plot being far worse than any plot device in a Zelda game I've ever played and providing less choice and consequence than Gears of War.

|When it comes to quality of games, I would have never based a purchase on your opinion. Don't take it personally, that's the case with everyone. Barring a few like Costin, who knows what I like and what I hate.

It provides far more choice & consequence than GOW. Now liking them or not is a completely different matter.

And it sure provided more consequences with its Import system than CDPR's laughable one. How much did it change in TW2? 2 lines and a cameo? WOW, amazing consequences there.

And in game? The only actual choice that leads to an actual consequence is giving someone a sword or not based on the flimsiest of reasons. The branching narrative afterwards is impressive, yes. But TW2's "consequences" may just as well not exist, given that they, like anything in TW1, will not matter. But like Shani, I'm sure there'll be codices explaining it all.

Similar arguments can be applied to mass effect 1 and 2. BioWare has never been good at story since, well, Balur's Gate.

Oh, I know what you like & hate too. I simply think you should stick with your infallible CDPR and forget Bioware altogether. Don't take that personally either. =]

All sarcasm aside, at least we can agree to disagree & not hold grudges.<3

Really? If you want to be that harsh, the BG Saga was nothing but standard RPG fanfare.

Only LARPs and Tabletoppin are the actual RPG experience.

Yes, because I always said CDPR is infallible.
Your melodrama is not something I take personally, don't worry.

And you want to compare TW2 with Bioware games when it comes to C&C? That's a laugh.

Sarcasm and hyperbole isn't melodrama. ;) You haven't liked anything Bioware has done since DAO. So my conclusion isn't that far off the bat. And I have yet to see you criticize CDPR more than a light slap on the wrists. Which is fine. You love their games. It's not an insult. Haven't you and Costin both accused me seeing Bioware as infallible numerous times?

Edit: Laugh away. Why shouldn't I? TW2 can't hold a candle to BG2 in that regard. Or even...IMHO...Jade Empire.

Yes, because I woke up one day and was determined to dislike everything after Origins, for no reason whatsoever.
I realized that Bioware offends me and thus I've decided to take a stance by hating everything they do, just because.

Have you been to the Witcher forum? No? Then don't talk about things you do not know. I did my share of criticism.

And no I have never said that. I said that your passionate defense of bioware was melodramatic, as evidenced by status updates that refer to people as "backstabbing snakes" and the like, implying both insidiousness and some inherent brand loyalty that ought to be but is not there.

And lol what? Jade Empire? What C&C?
I loved Jade Empire to bits, but to say that it's better than TW2 when it comes to C&C? That's just an incorrect opinion.

Alright, that's enough bickering. And, I think, this topic has outlived whatever useful life it may have once had.
