The only in-game evidence of this was the colonisation of the Skyllian Verge by the Alliance which prompted conflict with the Batarians. Frankly this was never even about the colony rights, the Batarians just disliked humanity and were looking for an excuse. Simple fact is with the size of the galaxy as it is in game; only 1% has been explored/mapped/colonised. I'd say that leaves plenty of room for every race to expand unhindered.

See, your own post contains evidence why we can't trust the aliens. Just look at the batarian hypocrits and douchebags.

So that's the excuse then?

The Batarians, a very reviled race who have slaving as their main tradition?

Because of them, the bullies looking for a fight, you immediately turn to deriding every race but Humans.

You do realize we aren't such a great example to hold up?

Except the Alliance was just as at fault as technically they were going into areas that Batarians were already trying to colonise and kicked the Batarians out. Both are at fault. More importantly no one suggested conflict won't occur between species as it does between races. I am suggesting it should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. You seem to favour a pre-emptive strike.

By your own reasoning, that doesn't matter because they're fictional.
Don't you even understand how nonsensical your reasoning has become once you've started dismissing arguments because the species in question are fictional?

Yes. This is the best way to prevent heavy casualties on our side and end war fast.

Sometimes this argument works, sometimes it does not. When I used it - it worked. When others used it - it didn't.

Or more likely; start a war that was never needed nor would have happened otherwise

A pre-emptive strike is only justifiable in a situation where war is unequivocally going to happen. For this situation to arise you must have decided there is no chance for peace, making you the instigator of hostilities.

Unless you're a Batarian or Turian, I don't see that happening.
Well, maybe if you're willing to be sticked to a bunch of other husks human to form a Scion.

I think he was referring to implanted cerberus troops rather than true reaper husks.

Yup. That's insane troll logic right there. Enough of trying to approach a troll with logic...

Suddenly, Spiderman.

Did you read the "ONLY" part?
All the other races don't hate humanity. Some of them even like us.
Except for a few averted cases, Turians respect us.
Asari like everybody.
Ans many, many more Aliens show nothing but respect and admiration for Shepard and other humans.
You are just a xenophobe.

Why bother? Those batarians are clearly no better than animals.

You forgot one important thing in OP's reasoning: All aliens that don't hate humans don't matter in this argument because they're fictional.

They have the same opinion of humans. Hence conflict. This is why your views will never lead down a good path.

You know, when you can't win the discussion or you do not have any arguments, you start to call the other side "troll" and start spamming, while not contributing to the discussion. Mr. Sauruz, my fellow brother human is misguided. I forgive him.

And when you can't win the discussion and your arguments start contradict each other... you... well, you just keep arguing for some reason.

I don't think he is, I think the spidey pics are boss :P. He also has a point, you can't argue that aliens are fictional and therefore you shouldn't be attacked for your views. But then you use the ficitonal aliens to justify your real life views on why you think humanity is the so called 'master civilisation'. Doesn't cut both ways.

Nah this argument only works when I say it does.
