There have been many hints on how our race, Humanity is the master race of the Galaxy in Mass Effect. That is one of the reasons for me to love this game, as I agree - Humanity has vastly superior potential to any alien lifeform we have to meet for real in future. We are destined for greatness.
However, potential does not mean actual power as we need time to spread our wings. We need to defend our species by any means as there would be those who will hate us, regardless of our efforts. Cerberus organisation believes in this noble goal - advancement of human race. Protecting the purity of our culture. Being the sword of Humanity in desperate fight for the Galaxy domination.
Worst thing that can happen is the rise of alien sympathisers within our species. There will always be those who will prefer alien music, alien food, alien spouses to that of human. These people are a cancer, killing the beautiful species, wasting their genes on inferior animals. Even robots. Those renegades, betrayers of their own race have no place in the future of mankind - future we will be building alone.
Humanity first.
Okay this OP may be a troll post, but I'm going to respond anyway.

Really? Really?

****** sapiens are superior to the other races in the Mass Effect Galaxy. What was the first sign of this? Was it Earth falling to the Reaper forces in mere hours.Or Admiral Hackett presiding over the greatest naval defeat in human history.Where as Palaven and the turians were still in the fight all the way up to the end of the game.
Or how about the fact that while humanity may be a Council race.We are the youngest and most vulnerable (weakest) of all Council races. Everyones coming to earth and humanities aid in 2186, not the other way around.
The Illusive Man is a fool. Who has a Prometheus Complex. And Javik and the Protheans cleary show that the whole "master race" goal that they had turns up biting you in the ass in the end.
Know this for certain.
It is better to have allies than servants.
