Question for Infiltrators: do you admit that you play an Infiltrator because it is OP?

What's keeping the Asari Adept from being just as "OP" as an Infiltrator, exactly?

I've played mostly Infiltrators since ME 2, and would continue to do so regardless of how unbalanced the class might seem to some people.
Every class has it's strengths and weaknesses.
What weaknesses does the Infi have?
They take more time to take out groups of weaker enemies than most classes, and tae out the big baddies faster. It is a glaring weakness. Don't believe me, try playing Gold with 4 Geth Infiltrators. Hack objective? lol, WIPE!
Depends on their weapons, I should think. With Valiants or Black Widows, even mobs of small fries should go down fast enough.
Two Valiants, one Black Widow, and one Raptor (I assume he uses it for shields)
Well... It may have been because we had two brutes in the circle, ad tree Ravagers with a shot on the hack zone from 3 different directions.
We went down as soon as the Ravagers started firing.

In my 200-300 hours of ME, I've played Infiltrator every single time, except when I tried to play soldier once, and didn't even get past the Intro in ME2 (Cerberus station with Wilson)
And I play human Infiltrator, by the way.

If you're on a team of biotics the Infiltrator is just a medic. He isn't OP nor is he Underfeed like some class (COUGH THE QUARIAN ENGINEER COUGH COUGH)

I don't know all the "acronyms" in BSN - but what is OP?
Normally I thought it meant "original post" but in this case, It means something else
Over powered.
Also original post(er) as you said.

I am not offended. I just think people coming up with a million reasons (false ones) why Infiltrators are not OP is ridiculous. For example, one guy saying that a good player with a GI can make any class perform exactly the same. Total BS.
I've carried entire teams of Geth Infiltrators with a Geth Engineer specced for shield restoration.
The GI is only good in the hands of a good player. The same can be said of any class.

I think every class can be played successfully, but some are obviously better designed than others, and some obviously have strengths that others do not. However, as the situation gets more difficult and the challenge level goes up, the strengths of most other classes really fall to the wayside next to what Infiltrators, Engineers, and Adepts provide, and of those three the Infiltrator is easily king of solo, objectives, and reviving.
That said, I'm actually trying to make Human Sentinel, WITH Tech Armor, my main.

Are they usually defending their position in one of your pretentious threads? Because honestly, I don't see it anywhere else in the forums. Please cite some of the millions of reasons from elsewhere just so we have a baseline. Thank you.

Also, the most impressive players I've ever seen, either from playing with them or watching their videos, all use adepts, not infiltrators, because they can just wreak havoc with biotic explosions. The havoc they wreak with those biotic explosions seems, to me, to far exceed the havoc that can be wrought with any other class. Wouldn't that then make adepts the most OP class?

to the topic creator: seriously, this **** gets annoying. i like your videos but even in your vids, your whining tends to creep into some of them, especially when dealing with the gps. look, we know you don't like it, you don't have to keep calling it cheesy when its brought up.
let people use who and what they want without constantly ****ing about it. And jesus christ, sometimes you reek of elitisim

Still, I don't think sniper rifle infiltrators are OP... after using a Claymore on any of the infiltrator kits, it's difficult to use anything else, except for the Kishock sometimes for fun. Shotgun infiltrators aren't crippled by scopes, and have a lot more freedom of movement.
My GI is specced for melee, which is effective but an entirely different playstyle than the other kits. It might be OP, but it's balanced by being very punishing for making mistakes.

If you can do that, then you are elite of the elite but that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of Infiltrators running around will never be able to replicate their results with socalled '2nd tier' classes.
I can easily replicate the results of my GI with any other class. That's because I cannot adopt to Hunter Mode, will become disoriented with all the polygones in front of my vision and die within seconds if I pop out of cover ... and dying within seconds is an easily replicated feat :-)
To be honest, though, as I slowly adopt to hunter mode, adjust my playstyle to its relative squishiness, I start feeling more and more comfortable. But still I do not get out an OP feeling from the GI, it just starts to become OK.
I am personally getting much better results with my GE and his turret, which I consider absolutely handy ... and I don't sport hunter mode with him
