Has Bioware ever said, "We know you hate us right now, but please, please trust us?"

That's what I'd say.
Have they ever said anything like this before?

Yep. Mike Gamble a few days after release, said something along the lines of..."..if you knew what we had in store, you'd keep your games forever."
That's not necessarily a cry for trust in a desperate situation though, is it?
...Is it?

Make your own call on it.
I wouldn't say they've ever been on their hands and knees begging, but I would never expect them to do that either.

Call me crazy. I'm just looking for a reason to actually believe in them.

ETA: Although Bioware's marketing director is most likely taking queues from the EA execs. The writers are probably just as frustrated.

No, definitely don't think they've had that. More like they've had a look in their eyes that says they have an ace up their sleeve, so we can burn our bridges if we want, but that will only hurt us more than them.
But at that point they go from being victims to total madmen, and that nullifies my reason to trust them

They're being silent, but when they do say something, they're being hypocritical, contradicting and condescending.

I don't think they will. They should to some degree, as that is just good business sense and would show they still value consumer trust/satisfaction.KotorEffect3 wrote...

All I did was make an observation. The fact that you took it as more than that must mean I hit a sore spot

This is the ending they want. Whether two people created it or the whole team created it, it's what they planned for and it's what they wanted. That it sucks just means they're not as good as they thought they were (and with how much it sucks, they must actually be worse by quite a large amount).
You can trust them if you want. There's a chance they'll be able to deliver something palatable, as long as they are willing. But you trusted them before, and look what they gave you.
Don't trust. Wait and see. That would be my advice.

Actually no, I'm cool buddy. See, I made a factual observation. You, literally have post after post in thread after thread doing exactly what you're supposedly rallying against.
The pot can only call the kettle black for so long. Just chill a bit. Sip on some Kool-aid or something.

They're not victims. What are you even talking about? You think EA made them put out a bad ending, and now they're secretly unshackled and can make the ending they want?
I'm trying to find evidence that this is the case, yes. So far, I haven't found anything.

I like to think it's nervous bullying - you know you screwed up so you take out your frustrations on those who can't fight back - but they'd never admit they were in the wrong or that the majority hate them. In their minds this backlash is amazingly good; they are using it to advertise the game! And those who dislike the ending are merely a vocal minority.
Heaven help them when the EC leaves this same vocal minority feeling spit on and they rage against Bioware harder. EA will cut off a weak link.
