Has Bioware ever said, "We know you hate us right now, but please, please trust us?"

Nothing even close. Most of what I've seen has been making fun of the fans who dislike the ending - Twitter feeds from Bioware staff are full of condescending statements.

Please prove that or at least draw up a list of all the statements you consider condescending.

Shepard is Indoctrinated.
Bioware is making the DLC to go with and it was their plan all along.

All the evidence is there in file names and in game.

Not in so many words, but they did address the outrage.

And not everyone hates them, just a sizable portion of the playerbase.

Just curious... If I was secretly a victim of.. something beyond my control...

That's what I'd say.

Have they ever said anything like this before?

Yes, it's happened before but not with Mass Effect.  Essentially when some of the writers and devs (like Laidlaw and DG) came out of their extended silence several months after DA2 was launched and tanked so quickly, they said something rather like this (albeit in not quite so stark of language) but that was something like 3-4 months later and it related to 'promising' to fix what was wrong with the DLC (specifically Legacy at the time).  Even then, there were stubbornly unapologetic about some of the biggest story-telling and plot related failings of DA2 so I don't expect much from them this time either.  Mass Effect 3 was Bioware's chance to prove that DA2 was an unfortunate abberation.  Unfortunately......

It's all just marketing and PR. Don't believe a word they say.

They only point to positive reviews and say "finally someone gets it". BioWare thinks the rest of us are all idiot ATM machines.

It isn't even evidence.

It isn't even a theory.

It's a conspiracy.

They also hinted at strong reasons to keep our saves. Its obvious that they have a boat load of dlc on the way once extended cut gets finished. I just hope the dlc is shadow broker level quality or better.

Honestly I want a full expansion

The fans always try to make themself out like victims, even if Bioware did say something like that you'd only see "No you've already betrayed me" comments.

Yep. Mike Gamble a few days after release, said something along the lines of..."..if you knew what we had in store, you'd keep your games forever."

That's not necessarily a cry for trust in a desperate situation though, is it?

...Is it?

Make your own call on it.

I wouldn't say they've ever been on their hands and knees begging, but I would never expect them to do that either.

That Tweet has nothing to do with people being upset with ME3, it was all about pimping their planned DLC.

Nope, they have not apologized and/or showed any sign that we can trust or believe in them.

They're being silent, but when they do say something, they're being hypocritical, contradicting and condescending.

Taboo, I respect you greatly, but the disagreement over the IT you and many other users have is where I draw the line.  I support the IT, and I'm one of the few users who still recognize it as a THEORY until our proven source comes out and says it's gospel, but I honestly think the IT is THE BEST way to give us somewhat of a satisfactory ending without retconning the last ten minutes of the game altogether.  That I think we both can agree on.  It's not perfect, hell, even I think it's crap that they have to go with a twist like this to support the crappy ending they already gave us, but again, I think it's the best solution to Bioware's ending problem to date.

Well considering that the retake movement forced them to stall all of their other DLC don't complain because they had to put it on hold to make your EC.

I don't know who to blame, but EA seems like a good culprit. Those of you who gamed in the early to mid 90s might recall Origin's Ultima series. EA bought out Origin and the last two games suffered for it.

Not by Bioware.  Some users had found some audio between Shepard and Aria (sauce lost; can't remember where I saw it) in the game files that hinted at retaking Omega.

No, but it's a huge plot point that they just... left out. They'd be stupid to leave it out.
