I loved Grunt he was my favourite squadmember in ME2 I would space Vega any day for Grunt.
I think everyone is forgetting Grunt willingly sacrificed himself just so Shepard could get off the rachni home world. Who else could have held off that many rachni and survive!!!!!! 
Vega didn't do much for me and I was angry that their was no krogan squadmember in this game. The reason I liked Krogan squadmembers was because they were tanks and had high health/shields and were rarely downed. Vega didn't fulfill the role of a tank squadmember in my opinion.  
Grunt is a legend.

Vega and Grunt are both cool, but if given a Virmire-like choice, yes, I'd space Vega.

Nah. I like Grunt, but he just seems too simple for me. He's a krogan, he wants to fight and. . .that's it. Not that there's anything wrong with that, he was just "born" when you recruit him. He does have some pretty funny lines, but I think I like James a lot better.

Sure. Well, maybe not space him, but I would kick him of at the Citadel if that would make room for Grunt. Not that I dislike Vega, on the contrary even, it's just that I love Grunt so much. But I'd rather have them both in my squad. There's enough room on the Normandy anyway. Javik can go **** himself in Life Support so that Grunt can go back to his old room. Problem solved.

I'd space him in a heartbeat for Wrex though.

Honestly, I've never understood the fascination with Grunt. He's bland, literally. Straight from that tank of his, he's basically indoctrinated to think and feel war. He's nothing more than that. Incredibly boring character. Shame, because Mr. Blum can do amazing work when given a deep character. Sad to see his potential wasted. So honestly, no, I wouldn't swap Vega for Grunt. I don't particularly like Vega, I mean he's ok and that's it. But Grunt isn't even ok. He's just meh.

If you'd say Legion, Thane or Mordin, then yeah you bet I'd swap instantly. Personally, I'd just throw out Ashley out the damn airlock and put it Kazumi. Aaaaaah Kazumi.

Absolutely not!! Man, James is one of the coolest characters they added. I almost always had him on my squad because he kicked serious butt and it was touching how he finally opened up to Shepard about what happened when he lost his team. You can count me on Team-Vega!!

 Vega turned out better than I thought he would, but he can't compare to Grunt.

Nope, I never used him in my squad in ME2, but I do use and like Vega.
As much as I would love to have Grunt play a bigger role, he's where he belongs, leading Aralakh Company.
Also, my silly morals wouldn't allow me to space a squad member, no matter how much I didn't like them.

I'd space Vega for Grunt, and I'd space Allers for Urz! Screw fish! The Normandy needs our favorite varren in ME3!

 I love Grunt, but his banters as a character weren't as good as they were with Vega. Especially banters with female Shepard, god they were funny. I'd tap him anyday.

Grunt had no banters. I would love to see him actually interacting with the squad instead of the dead silence we got in ME2. Same goes with Jack.

Hells yes! vega was "Grunt Ultra Light" you have no real attachment to Vega Grunt was a part of Me2 squad and b4 you start going into "what about the new players" that is where you use dialogue to establish grunts past with Shep (for new players)

No, I would not space Vega or any other character to get another ( and Im  happy that i.e I  don't have to keep Kaidan as a companion). But, if I could have a chance to trade Vega/Kaidan/EDI-boot for Jack/Wrex/Zaeed/Thane/Samara/Miranda ....
