Greetings folks, with the wrapping up of the Krogan guides (for the moment at least) it was high time to move on to other classes. After a bit of experimentation I came up with a build that I assume some use but the majority seem to prefer offensive bubble/biotics. The focus of this build will be entirely on 'tankiness' and this is one of the tankiest build available. I have no interest for the purposes of this build in biotic explosions (apart from occasional pull/reave combos). It is a build unto itself and Biotic Sphere is centred around protecting the Justicar herself. I will explain all of this in the video but basically this build's main focus is on Reave and Biotic Sphere.

Biotic Sphere: 4 Shield Regeneration, 5 Damage Reduction, 6 Damage Reduction/Shield Regeneration
Reave: 4 AOE, 5 DR, 6 DR, Duration, Damage
Pull: 3 ranks (entirely optional)
Passive: 4 power/weight 5 Headshot (only taken because power damage is broken) 6 Zero (entirely optional)
Fitness: entire bottom row.

WIth this build combing Biotic Sphere's 40% DR with Reave's 40% nets you 80% as well as a total of 40% increase in barrier regeneration. In the video you will see how I simply stand there whilst taking fire from multiple enemies, Atlases and grenades exploding at my feet. It is very powerful as well as very fun. Additionally I had the opportunity to show how useful Biotic Sphere is when completing objectives such as disable devices, where literally I would have gone down if not for it.

Biotic Bubble Camping

This is a video showing just how powerful a bunch of bubbles can be
speced for defence. Apart from 2 cheap deaths due to objectives there
were no deaths and we just hung out in the tower the whole time.

Special thanks to my team mates LPconfiguration and MartinaVakarian.

That is mostly how I use my Asari Justicar, except I don't have pull, and not AoE for Reave.
Also didn't realize that passive power damage rank 5 is broken. Sadface.

I use it with Shuriken X and either Phalanx X or Carnifex X. Can get first/second frequently on golds with this setup. :D

Aside from the last Reave evolution (I chose armor/barrier instead of DR) that is exactly my AJA build.

It is very durable, especially when you are in that bubble of yours.

I did some testing as well as others and sadly it is broken. I think the headshot bonus is nice though since Reave here mostly about DR.

Weapons on this build are up to you. In the video I use the Grall because it is my favourite all purpose weapon but the others work well too.

I explain in the audio guide why I choose the bottom evolution, primarily because it makes you even tankier and the DR lasts longer.

Pretty much my current build but there's one thing: Wouldn't sphere rank 4 radius be better even for full defense? The shield regen boost is practically unnoticeable but radius on the other hand grants you a lot more space to move around, protects a larger area and is essential if you want your teammates to utilize the sphere.

I find team mates rarely bother with it anyway.

15% increase does matter because rank 6= 25%, add fitness= 40% that is significant. I notice it and 3 m is plenty for just yourself.

Sooooo it seems like an adpet build with dominating weapon damage. Sounds fresh, will try.

Thank you. I appreciate the comment, it's what motivates me to keep making them. Thanks again.

Warp is actually more effective in defence purposes, because every enemy faction will sooner or later drown you in close combat units; ten additional percent of damage reduction is nothing compared to Reave biotic explosion and stagger.

Being and undying Asari on Silver can be a lot of fun, though :)

I specifically state that this build has nothing to do with Biotics explosions or combos. If you are soloing or playing with randoms, this build will be better.

Where do you have this from?

I have tested this once and others more extensively. It does not work properly with  Reave.

Does that mean that it gives zero increase with reave?
I'm only asking, because ME3's skill descritions is all ambiguous and any real numbers are derived from pixel counting.

That is correct.

looking forward to video, I played my justicar fairly similar but with warp bubble on final evolution instead of 10% DR & shield recharge. I also chose the broken passive... =0(

Only 1 respec card left

I emphasise in the vid and here that this build is all about taking as much punishment as possible and killing partly with Reave but mostly with weapons, it has nothing to do with biotic combos or explosions.

I thought this build is already known and used by a lot of people. You could have tried a 66644 vs Cerberus.

If it is used and known and has no video or guide, then the latter is still worthy of publication.

4 in Fitness would be suboptimal for this build, since it is about being a tank.

Haven't really played the Justicar much yet.. but I always assumed that since it said "keep allies within the sphere" that you'd need to be more than one person inside for it to work.

Well.. if that's not true that makes it a bit nicer.. guess it's facepalm time for me. :D

Now here's hoping for a respec card.. otherwise it might just be promotion time. :P

Does the Asari Justicar Rank5 work on the "normal" asari adept?
