Bioware should nerf the Hahne-Kedar armor set...

You know,I think giving each armor set in the game singular effects was a bad idea, especially for this one. If you don't know, the Hahne-Kedar set applies a +10% damage bonus for each piece (chest, shoulders, legs, arms), giving you a 40% damage bonus if you wear the full set. Which is bad if you prefer to wear the full set solely for looks (as I do), as it makes the game WAY too easy, even if you're using the most basic weapons (i.e M-8 Avenger) and haven't taken any other Weapon Damage upgrades, and are playing on Insanity. Don't believe me? Test it yourself.

Insanity is already too easy, but I really like this armor set; it's my favorite of all the new ones they added. But's it's too powerful. Anyone think they should knock it down to at least, say... +5% Weapon Damage per-piece instead of +10%?

It's overpowered on any character. Equip this armor, and you don't really need powers most of the time.

I agree that Insanity is too easy but nerfing a armor set isn't going to make things more challenging. I still don't understand why they didn't make insanity=Gold or have a NG+ level scaling like in ME2.

I use the Claymore, 90% of things die in a shot (Yes, on insanity only). Besides, what is the 40% Power Damage compared to Inferno Set which has 30% Power Damage AND Recharge Bonus. :P

Also, someone trying to mod the game to lower power damage found out that If you are doing biotic explosion, it is the "Force" that does most of the damage, not the "Damage" figure.

Yeah, they need to make a few changes to make this game more challenging, but this one has been rather irritating to me personally; I wear the full armor all the time, and no matter how high I turn up the difficulty, it barely compares to solo Bronze in Multiplayer.

I think they should also give enemies additional defense like they had in ME2; you know when you turned up the difficulty before, all enemies got an additional layer of Shields/Barriers/Armor? They should've kept that...

Not exactly matching but Recon Hood is +10% weapon damage I believe :D

Yeah I was suprised they removed this element.  I agree the game is far too easy on Insanity but nerfing one armor set won't do much to fix it.  I use the HK set as well on my soldier and its just silly how easy battles are.  But I think it has more to do with the changes in game play like you mentioned more so than the stats of any particular piece of equipment.

I wish they would bring back the protection schemes and damage multpliers from ME2.  Might not do much but would stop the game from feeling so easy.

Yeah the AI is much improved and they certainly can take you out if your not careful.  But with Biotics now being effective even against shielded enemies and the amount of un shielded enemies cc is much easier than it was ME2.  And I personally like shooters so I play alot of them but ME3 was a challenge at first.  Just played a lot it a lot so I guess I've learned the enemies lol. 

Are there any specific spots or enemies you are having a lot of trouble with?

Turn the controller upside down and try to play with your feet. That will make it hard.

Uhhh... no? I'm saying the game is too easy compared to previous entries in the series; the addition of new gameplay aspects, such as overpowered armors, weapon mods and upgrades, an increased level cap, and new gameplay mechanics such as combat rolls the removal of weapon restrictions come together to make the game significantly easier than Mass Effect 2.

I never completed Mass Effect 1 on Insanity; I beat it on Hardcore, but only because I stuck to the main story and avoided ALL of the side-missions, which are absolutely brutal on Veteran and up. I beat ME2 on Insanity, and that took me forever. That was the only time I ever played on a higher difficulty, otherwise I stuck with Normal for all of my playthroughs. The fact that I am now calling Insanity "easy" says something considering I once complained that Mass Effect 2 was "too hard".
