Uhhh... no? I'm saying the game is too easy compared to previous entries in the series; the addition of new gameplay aspects, such as overpowered armors, weapon mods and upgrades, an increased level cap, and new gameplay mechanics such as combat rolls the removal of weapon restrictions come together to make the game significantly easier than Mass Effect 2.
I never completed Mass Effect 1 on Insanity; I beat it on Hardcore, but only because I stuck to the main story and avoided ALL of the side-missions, which are absolutely brutal on Veteran and up. I beat ME2 on Insanity, and that took me forever. That was the only time I ever played on a higher difficulty, otherwise I stuck with Normal for all of my playthroughs. The fact that I am now calling Insanity "easy" says something considering I once complained that [u][i]Mass Effect 2 was "too hard".

Man, you are hard to please. ME2 was too hard, now ME3 is too easy.
Please tell us what your ideal difficulty level is.
Edit: I hate the pyramid quote system this forum has. Bold is my text.

The only problem with ME2's difficulty was that you lost all of your upgrades when starting an NG+. That was it.
They fixed this in ME3, but they also removed the additional defenses on lesser enemies (the extra layers of Shields/Barriers/Armor) while also increasing the level cap, adding new weapons and mods, bringing back grenades, and adding combat rolls, heavy melee, and grabbing, all of which serve to make the game easier.
Don't get me wrong, I love these new features, but they should have just kept the extra defenses for lesser enemies. Also, singular effects for armor sets = bad idea. Those are the only things they did wrong, really. Funny, they said Normal was to be the new Veteran, but if anything it's the new Casual. Insanity, on the other hand, feels like ME2 on Normal.

Seriously, there are a myriad of guides out there that allow for easy editing of the Coalesced file. If you honestly don't like insanity, buff enemies or nerf the armor set yourself. Bioware has come out and said they don't mind players modding the singleplayer (sauce lost; can't remember where I saw it) it's the multiplayer that Bioware doesn't want modded.

Hey, OP how about buffing enemy AI, survivability, and damage if you think Insanity is too easy?

I would do this in a heartbeat if I was a PC player.
Making Insanity=Gold seems very plausible, just convert the data from MP over to SP. Heck, I would even pay for this(as long as it isn't overpriced) It would make SP SO much more enjoyable.
Every time I use my stronger builds, it feels like I'm cheating. I don't even like to max out my weapons because it just makes things too easy.

I have played soldier with all N7 and nearly all HK (I don't particularly care for the look of it... like jogging clothes with metal plates taped on) and it really is not different enough to worry about. This is the class where it should help the most (since you don't really have powers that would benefit from armor mods) and it really isn't game-breaking.

Has anyone suggested not wearing the Hahne-Kedar armor set? Problem solved.
For some, it's not enough to simply not use it. This opinion MUST be imposed on others so they can't use the 50% weapon damage bonus as they see fit.
Presently I use it on my Revenant Soldier minus the shoulders where I use Armax Arsenal for some additional headshot damage. When I play as something else, I probably won't use the HK gear as I like to mix things up.
But to simply nerf the HK set because it's supposedly OP? Hell no! Too OP for you? Do not use it.

Pretty much. I do find Bioware's attitude to modding to be somewhat refreshing - there was once a time when most developers were quite happy for players to fiddle with their games as it basically a win-win scenario for them, as there was less pressure to patch things.

Don't use it, then you're not "hampered" by an OP armor set.
This thread is stupid.
I have to admit that I'm a bit fed up too with this attitude that keeps coming up on the forums. Its one thing to ask for stuff that is underpowered to be buffed or gameplay models be modified, but I can't understand why so many people are in a hurry to have stuff scaled back for everyone just because they can't help themselves using something they themselves decide is OP.
Hell, the HK damage boost doesn't even make much difference.

Nothing needs nerfing.
