Did anyone happen to kill a RED spy on the way here? No? Then we still have a problem.

I'm so glad I don't use a mic.

I am tempted to start using it, cause it´s seems fun...but such stories....not good.

I've never had a problem on the PC. You're lucky if someone even says something back.

I have a long and storied history of internet gaming, and unfortunately the internet is full of children who use anonymity to sexually harass women. Most of the women I've played with (in multiple different games/platforms) are in their 30s or 40s and have learned to fire back at these little jerk-offs, which is actually quite hilarious. In my experience, women of that gaming segment (30s-40s) tend to be well adjusted good players, and as a result they have ended up on my friends list frequently.

I have much admiration for the women that can hack it in the online gaming community because it seems to be stacked against them unless they pander to the immature desires of pubescent boys and horny teenagers. The ones that can put up with it and fire back, or ignore it entirely and still play have my respect.

Today I actually ran BACK from the extraction area with 10 secs left to try to rez a downed player... which was a girl (with a very nice voice, I must say).

Nedless to say, we got partial. Couldn't help but think I would NOT do this if it would have been a guy...

its probably why women don't use a mic too often. I can say i only played 1 game so far with a women on the mic and I made sure i didn't say anything offensive to her. Its stupid to harass anyone over a game online. aren't we all in it to have fun?

whats the average age of a ME3 player online. i think the game has an older audiance. I haven't dealt with kids or stupid teens to often. most of the teens i've dealt with were cool. i've added about 30 friends to my list from ME3 and i pretty much only play with them at this point

I used to have an xbox and I always noticed that there were waaaaay more kids on xbox than PS3 when i finally got one. It's sucks that there are better features on xbox live, but I guess I traded that for a more mature group of online ppl and a blu ray player. You can keep those extra features if that means I have to deal with less stupid little brats.

Got into a match with a girl and two idiot kids all with mics, needless too say they were saying things to her that almost make me sad to be a man.

I mean would you ever go up to someone and say every innuendo in the book? Didn't think so, respect seems to be lost in the world

Fixed that for you.

I've been pretty lucky.  The worst I've had is a german fella who was having a rough time of it with being ambushed.  I felt bad for the guy, about the fourth time in a row he went down he yelled mein gott over the comm.

actually lately I have been using my mic alot, and it's Fun!
Last night met a woman (USA), a guy (UK) and me (Holland)
It was awesome, not only sometimes immature fun, but the co-operation altogether was pretty neat.
All in All, I truly believe that or the kids were young, inexperienced.
or just trying to be funny/Macho or something, which ofcourse utterly failed.

I do agree that there is a difference between friendly banter and insults. I might be old-fashioned, but when I saw two teens on the bus calling each other delightedly ****/**** , then hugging and kissing each others cheek (friends, apparently) I was a bit shocked. I am aware that many guys use insults in friendly banter...****got, ****head, gob****e just a few of what I heard but us double-xxers usually (not as a rule. or i simply only met polite women) don't use that many curse words. I dont mind them doing it but then it was clear none of them did mind. I wouldn't take kindly to ppl calling me that unless i know them really well and know how to take it.

Other than that I never felt that I was treated any differently than anyone else on the team. I appreciated though a friend came to fill up my lobby when I pulled the damsel in distress card. You know who you are.
I even had pricks of conscience afterwards.

I don't have a Y chromosome and I swear more than every guy I've ever met.

I however know when not to swear, and I know not to call people things over a damn game.
