Let me try it out on silver first before I judge it.

More, actually. The damage values for it was 42.4-53.1 previously, instead of the ones listed in the balance changes. Still don't know how useful it'll be now, especially being low level.GodlessPaladin wrote...

hurricane buffed ... a SMG doing more damage than a LMG ... so stupid
It is a commendation weapon, though, so it should be special...
...but then try saying that to poor Eagle...

Oh my god no. I'm never going to see someone use a rocket or medigel in multiplayer again.
I've a feeling my detector is malfunctioning, but I'll bite.
The cap was already 255, you just lost any of the consumables above that, now at least you get something useful, especially for all the capped ammo packs.

Weird, the balance changes post says it used to be [60.9-76.1].
WTF?

You don't understand. People SHOULD be punished for reaching the item cap via not helping their team in any fashion whatsoever by being stingy with consumables. A good team player uses up all or most of their consumables in a match in order to expedite things. These changes discourage that, and therefore encourage bad behavior.

Yeah, I'm confused on this too. The google doc had it listed lower. So unless it was wrong. Either way, It needs damage over 90 to even be decent.

Just tested it on a Turian Soldier with every possible weapon bonus and it's still bloody insulting.

Right, that makes sense. Anyway, it won't change anything on my playstile, and with jumbo readily available, shouldn't be that worried about it even with random groups.

COME ON. At least reduce how often we get them if we've got appearance options maxed out already >_> That's fair. Anyways, hope the Crusader gets a bit more buffing, the weight is still stupid and isn't really worth using.

Regardless, the Eagle is still the lowest DPS pistol as well as being the hardest to upgrade. Not to mention it's probably the most inaccurate of the lot.
There's no "probably" about it. It's still an insultingly bad weapon.
Meanwhile, the Hurricane just got better for some reason.

Not but seriously, now I really have to ask who the hell decides on these changes, since having a disparity of THREE TIMES the DPS in two automated weapons of the same "rarity" is just plain irresponsible. And this has been going on for well over two months now!
Ah well. I've mostly moved on anyways, so I guess it doesn't matter much for me in the end.

Thing is, the 255 cap ment there was no reason to save your medigel/rockets/ammo/ops. If you saved them, then any rockets that you got out of packs would be wasted, so you might as well use them. With this change though, by not using your rockets and having 255, you get more equipment.
There were already lots of players who refused to use medigel/rockets when there was no reason to do so. With this change, they have an excuse as to why they never use them, so more people might start saving them. Saying I was 'never' going to see people use them again was an exageration of course, but I still predict even fewer people will use them now.
"Well I could use a rocket to kill the 4 banshees barreling towards me, but wow I really want some more armor piercing rounds."

I think the strong hint is that you shouldn't be sitting with all your characters at level 20 and not promoting them. And regardless of opinion, it seems signs point to BioWare believing that is part of the fun. I've seen some good counter arguements to this, however, I'm not only going to ride the horse in the direction it is going, but have to say I find more fun in relevelling characters than sitting at 20 myself.
Don't get me wrong....my two favorite classes sit at 20 the most, and that's what my respec tokens are used on. But the rest get levelled, and I do find it more amicable to friends I play with to have diverse character levels. Would be curious to hear what others think of the XP buff.

And the number is actually even lower in practice due to the bad recoil.
