just thought i would put up something that maybe others can contribute to (politely) to enhance team work. tips we can give to those that play the same class we do. maybe, if it gets a sticky, players can check this list for general "rule of thumb" for their class. i.e things we have realised that help the team and not hinder or annoy.

i shall start with my infiltrator  "rules of thumb"
1. its our job to cap, that is get to the objectives while the team is fighting. however, dont just suicide dash to the obv, there is time so be sensible and sneaky. you can go invisible after all.

2. rez teammates. again the invisible thing is rather handy :) but be wary of the situation. dont just auto run to rez a guy. check the area and make sure they wont get slaughtered upon revival. sometimes it is better to leave them. i think that one is the hardest situation to recognise and takes exp.

3. we are slow at close range combat, being snipers and all, so distance is your friend.

4. DONT SHOOT THE BLUE GUY lol unless he has been blue for a good few seconds, take out non glowy guys first, if you do disrupt a biotic plosion, you actualy, believe it or not, loose the team potential points.

5. dont worry bout being the top scorer, sometimes you will, sometimes you wont. it doesnt actualy matter, all exp/credits are shared. just be sure to play your role and play it well.

does anybody else have some words of wisdom to pass onto fellow class players. this is intended to be helpful, no sniping (no pun intended) or being mean. if you have tips then please feel free to add.

Oh, I gpt a few:

If you are sharing a firefight with an sniping infiltrator, and you aren't an infiltrator, take out the shields of the most prominent enemy and then move on to the next one. Your buddy will 1-hit ko the newly unshielded enemy and reload in time to take out the next guy you shield-strip.

Stay with your teammates!!!!!! 4 guys shooting is better than 1 guy dying. The game is designed to have an advantage againsts soloing players. Use your team.

Don't beeline for those damn hacking circle objectives!!! Make sure one guy has their missle launcher ready to deal with overwhelming spawns, and move as a team until you can secure the area. You will hack the circle in time, you don't need to get there in the first 10 seconds and die.

My main one is just to communicate. Because that one tip removes the need for about 500!

To flesh it out though, tell your team when you plan on using a missile. Tell your downed teammate whether (or not) someone will revive him or if he should use medigel/bleed out. Coordinate powers in order to create faster combos by agreeing who uses what and on whom. Tell that Infiltrator he has a cloaked Hunter closing on his back. Tell that Kroguard there is a Banshee hidden from his view right behind the target he is charging. Tell the new guy in the lobby ULM is broken on the weapon he has selected. Tell your team how your AJ's bubble is specced. If you bleed out, use the camera to your advantage and tell your team what is coming around the corner. Tell me that I talk too much...

I am that guy. ^_^

Especially on maps where everyone has their backs to the same area, like Firebase Dagger.

Same here. I like to guard the flanks and the 6. Other players seem to be much better at getting kills.

This...especially if you're not the best player.  It takes the heat off of everyone else.  And let your team know if the flanks are too hot for you to handle alone.

EDIT: Edited to add that this is what I try to do...because I'm not the best player.

Basically any class can slow down the creep of the enemies till the other 3 deal with the front and come back to help you.

It's a real bummer when my adept is trying to take down a Brute or a Phantom and I get jumped from the back by a Husk or killed by an assault trooper.  This may pertain more to adepts but I personally do not mind when I stasis a foe I do not mind it when an Infiltrator takes it down.  It is my experience that that is more efficent than trying to explode them.

if there's an uploading objective. the 4 objectives one. only one person (infiltrator most of the time) needs to interact with the object. there is zero point in two or more people uploading the same objective. the time it takes is always better spent watching that persons back and actually listen to the various soundbits that go  "cover me!" or some sort.

if there's an uploading objective. the 1 giant blue bar in the up right corner of the screen one. try to stay in the blue graphical zone or at least near it. those can be a deathtrap, especially on wave 10. and the more people stay in it the faster it goes. the faster it goes, the more money everyone gets. extra money is nice.

if you want to rocket a banshee wait untill they stop charging and target their feet.

Phantoms almost always try to go into hiding if you take too long trying to kill her. dont think that since she suddenly disappeared in the heat of battle and the combat log is going crazy that she's dead. take a second look around potential cover spots she could be in.

you can grab kill any geth except Primes. even pyros or invisible hunters with full shields intact. given the chance go for it. you get a medal + xp at 1, 3 and 5 grabs respectively. extra xp is always nice.

Ravagers are deadly .if you see a spawn of reapers a distance away. target the ravager first instead of the incoming banshee or brute. most of the time the ravager will shoot you to death before the brute can smash your face in.

aim for the sacks on a ravager. the skin colored bubbles on its body. they release a few swarmers a piece but it does major damage and severely weakens the ravager itself.

be careful about the ravagers poison blood. they're like Alien. their blood is acid. the small swarmers release a tiny amount but a bunch of them can hurt or even kill.  the ravager itself leaves a dark green pool on the ground when it dies which is lethal when you stand in it. try to avoid the darkgreen pools or run through them. and don't ever stand still in it.

Ravagers are killers when they have range and the eyes of an eagle. one clear line of sight is all they need to fire in 3 shot bursts. one burst is enough to either kill you outright or leave you with a sliver of health. if you see you're getting hit by a ravager get the hell out of dodge and use that ability if you can. seek the nearest cover and be careful. most likely your shields have taken a big hit or worse.

%^&$ Ravagers.

edit for uplioading objective clarity

This is especially true if you're tossing stasis across the map... also pay attention to your fellow biotics to see if they're tossing throw or pull or reave or... then work on a complimentary power for 'splosion fun... no, it's not kill stealing...
