I do it to check how I'm doing. If I'm really low, it lets me know that I should probably step my game up a bit.

I check it between every wave because I'm competitive. If I'm not top, I want to be top. If I am top, I want to increase the gap between myself and #2. I believe it brings out the best in my own play, so as long as everyone else is doing whatever makes them better, then we should be a successful team.

It's worth noting that I won't let players die though just so I can increase my score compared to theirs. Team success is first, but a very, very close second is my own personal success.

lol i didnt mean any puns....i play according to how my teammates play...if i need to kill more, i do, which would make my score higher....if my teammates are killing fine, and i need to just play support, i do, which would make my score lower....all i care about is successful missions, so there's no need for me to check my score...i can wait till the end...
