He's just saying that race should have nothing to do with the analysis of the character. Jacob should be evaluated as Jacob, nothing more. Attaching race to his character is a form of racism in and of itself.

Actually, I agree with GuardianAngel470. Black people are not better than white, just like white people are not better than black. Blacks should not get preferential treatment or positive discrimination - that is true racism. Jacob is Jacob. If he had been white, I'd still hated him the same, cause he is a douche.

I think Jacob is boring and the most "useless" of the ME2 squad. He is just a normal guy. For instance Jack has those tattoos and the crazy attitude which surely grabs anyones attention. What about Jacob? Umm... Let me think for a while... Oh, yeah! I noticed him when I let that seeker swarm grab him. His facial expression was amazing and I laughed.

I don't hate Jacob. Hate is such a strong word. Jacob just doesn't fit in the ME2 squad and in ME3 he continues to be boring. This matter is subjective afterall.
