They're definitely hyped. You can solo rounds with pretty much every class. The thing is, to do it with the infiltrator, you don't need to be specially good at it, while the other classes require a bit more thought.

Like I said: classes that only need two buttons to be played effectively are the most popular. Vanguard? Charge/Nova. Infiltrator? Cloak/Shoot. Asari Adept? Warp/Throw.:D

I feel kinda sorry for these people. They'll never know the joy of sniping with a human soldier, turning the Drellguard into a killing machine, or the satisfaction of kicking ass with a Krogan.

List of buffs to make other classes = to infiltrator

Soldier: Passive +70% weapon damage, +70 weight capacity, +30% reload speed, +50% health bonus

Sentinel: Passive +40% weapon damage, +30 weight capacity
Tech Armor gives extra 25% damage resistance at level 1, also refills shields to 100% when purged.

Vanguard: Shorten base Biotic Charge cooldown by 2 seconds,
Passive +50% weapon damage, +50 weight capacity, BC also refills health by 25% per charge.

Engineer: Passive +50% shield bonus, +30% weapon damage, +70% power damage, Can have two turret/drones out at once.

Adept: Passive +40% shield bonus, +60% power damage, Shorten all base cooldowns by 1 second.

no...maybe if you can use that claymore reload cancelling trick with a claymore but no matter how you slice it infiltrators are bigger and better

If you really want to get down and dirty about what's best of the best, you have to look at team compositions rather than individual classes. Quite possible. Infiltrators have a considerable advantage when soloing because of their ability to bleed aggro and to trivialize what is otherwise the most difficult / luck based objective when soloing (4 object missions, which leave you completely unable to defend yourself while capping).

Infiltrators are good because they can turn even the worst of weapons into godly machines of death.... or into things THAT ACTUALLY DO EVEN THE SMALLEST PORTION OF THEIR JOB. (Im looking at you geth pulse garbage.)

I only play adept, infiltrator, and engineer. Support classes shouldn't score as much as things like the decoy are extremely powerful but don't give points. I don't score as high with the AJ, but do help the team just as much as with my AA. I never play as a sentinal, but shouldn't those be pretty even with adepts? You can get warp and throw. You just get a better sheild instead of stasis. I have never used a vanguard, but I have seen people score high, whipe using them correctly, on gold. They don't seem less powerful. They just seem to attract a lot of noobs.

Here's how to balance it out. Give everybody Tactical Cloak.

Until then, just play an Infiltrator if you want, and realize that all the classes really aren't balanced out. Soldier being the wimpiest. Infiltrator, particularly Geth, probably being at the top.

haha. that might be a little bit extravagant but the adepts would be overpowered then. soldiers do need more dmg boost, they still do nowhere near as much damage with weapons as infiltrators

Don't misunderstand me: I do think soldiers could use a touchup or two. But I just hate people that reason this way and smugly say  "my class is better than your class" like their word is final.

Based on previous updates and balance changes, there really is no "class balancing" but rather balancing abilities.

I'd say a few abilities that could use some buffs are Singularity, Pull, Cryo Blast, QE Turret, Concussive Shot.

Adepts are fine as is.

Soldier - make soldiers get some ridiculous boost to weapon weight/damage right off the bat. High enough to really make a difference. Somehow to make AR's dps remotely close to an infiltrator's.

Engineer - Buff drones besides geth. Buff cryo blast. Make fire/cryo explosions stronger/easier to setup.

Sentinel - Make the Tech Armor REALLY sponge damage. Make them the best tanks in the game. Get rid of TA's power cool down penalty. Make a sentinel with a power that works like marksman, but for powers. Then sentinels would be top tier.

Vanguard - Not to much of a problem (might be a bias since I seem to do the best with any vanguard). So I dont really ask for anything here either.

Geth Engineer

Human Sentinel

Human Vanguard
Asari Vanguard
Krogan Vanguard

Oh and I left out Infiltrators...

geez  your amazing but this isnt about the skilled few. its bout the classes. i can score that much with most those classes as well. never rlly tried AV. DA is only good against reapers in my opinion and the main reason i dont get close to that score is bc we dont even finish the match

infiltrators are better.... you get double damage and some of the best powers....oh yea and you turn in invisible. the reason i said that about the claymore is bc you cant shoot that fast on a console. yes i know you can use a power or dodge but it still takes time to use them

I find all classes as good; just many others experience glitches which make them less ideal.

I'm just tired of the people that don't know how to use classes that require using more than two buttons. Some classes may be underpowered and need fixes, yes. But if you don't know how to turn a Drell Adept or Turian Sentinel (for example) into a killing machine, that's *your* problem.

i do know how to use other classes but they still cant compare to the infiltrators.  this game has no team play so its based on a classes individual killing speed and infiltrators are definitely the best
