I couldn't care less about victory pack, but the time I spent killing banshees...not so much.

You still got credits and/or XP as usual (and possibly fun from playing the game), so it's not like it's a huge loss.

Oh, you didn't upset me at all.  You seem to be the one that's upset, after all, you're letting the way people play a game offend and upset you!

I can see why you might be a little sad, though.  Your manifest is pretty lacking.

Son. you're gonna have to try a little better than that.  Here, follow your little thought pattern through.  If my manifest is lacking and it saddens me and I want more items, wouldn't logic dictate that I'd be for them handing out commendation packs no matter what?  Or for farming FBW non-stop?

Never mind, don't hurt yourself.  We all have our opinions.  Mine is that if you're going to make a challenge, then it should at least be challenging.  You don't agree, that's fine.  You are entitled to your opinion.

Now, no more cookies for you.  Run along and play.

could have used the extra medigel and missiles, but whatever...though it would be hilarious if Bioware upped the number of Banshees for a few weeks

Why would anybody receive a commendation pack if the operation failed ?!??!

Probably in the minority, but this is how I feel it should be too.  No victory, no commendations.  Try harder next time.

Exactly my thoughts.

I know, I played much more than usually. I still enjoyed the games, just saying that I am sorry it failed. Nothing more :)

Not really...just comes to show that people have begun to move on. These numbers will decrease even further as time goes on...I mean, if they had designed it so that there was replayability in the campaign, those that are on their 7th or so run would still continue to support MP...but alas, from poor and downright stupid decisions, BW has completely screwed themselves over.

Couldn't of said it better myself.

I cried, but to myself, and I kept my sobbing to a low. That way, only someone paying close attention would ask me, 'Are you okay?' And then, after a long pause, I would say, 'Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna be all right.'

I'm not surprised, most people played Geth/White during the entire operation.

Same here... More importance should be put onto the community goal... If anything the rewards should be reversed... Commendation packs should not be given out if the community goal isn't reached :/

Yes, I wasted many missiles/medigels on Reaper Gold so we could win.

I agree with this so maybe a minority but at least your not alone:O and it would maybe motivate some people.

Anyway...Not really sad it failed, Maybe a little disheartened I couldn't help many people do the squad goal though if the commendation failed, I'm the kind of guy who would like everyone to have something even if other people think it's worthless.

Really?  I always thought "could care less" was just an American colloquialism.  It just seems illogical by itself.  I always thought "I could care less" was just a lazy abbreviation of either "couldn't care less" or "could care less, but not by much" etc.

You clearly have a linguistic background and I'm not trying to argue, just interested in the mechanics here as I'd always believed "couldn't care less" was the correct structure in a situation where the speaker has no interest at all in the matter in question.

Nope, he's wrong here.

This guy and myself are right

DoctorEss wrote...

No.

Using some filler, expand each a bit, to see why it doesn't work.

"I couldn't care less." = "I could not care less.  There is no possible way the amount I care could be any lower, ergo, I do not care at all."

"I could care less".  "I could care a lower amount than I currently do.  I do care to some degree."

Thing is, much like "irregardless", it fell into public vernacular, but it doesn't make it correct English.

Oh, how cute.  It's trying to act like it's older than me!  Awwwww.  It thinks it's people.

First off, saying "son" in an internet argument immediately reveals you're under 21, for the most part.  People like you do it because you think it makes you appear older, or more mature.

It doesn't.  People my age don't talk like that.  Hell, my father didn't talk like that, and he's old enough to have been dead for twenty years.

Nah, you want to attempt to hold your moral high ground.  I've seen people do it for similar reasons in similar games.  You spent a bunch of time going at it the slow way, someone found a faster way and got everything, and you have to act like you're just SOOooOOoOo above it all.  However, the end result is, the farmers are better armed than you, and perform better because of it.

The fact that you show a personal angst and anger towards farming and farmers shows the personal offense you're taking from this.

Remember, it's just a game.

I'm not surprised. Plus the Victory Packs aren't exactly worth the effort anyway. So... *shrugs*

I think if they did something like tie the contents of your victory pack to your contribution of the event, people'd care. After numerous events whose reward was a garbage victory pack, people stopped. Not surprising. The victory pack, balanced to be garbage because people who didn't even participate still got it (not sure what spurred THAT decision on, it'd be much smarter, if more infrastructurally complex, to just leave out all the people who didn't bother or did very little), is more or less useless to those who actually do the work for it. I'm fairly certain it would not nearly have even replenished the supplies of missiles used just to kill the banshees for the operation. Herp.

Disappointed? No. Surprised? Hardly. Saw this coming a mile away.

They upped the target number while the player base is shrinking and becoming cynical regarding victory packs, so is anyone surprised it was a failure?
