Nah, you want to attempt to hold your moral high ground.  I've seen people do it for similar reasons in similar games.  You spent a bunch of time going at it the slow way, someone found a faster way and got everything, and you have to act like you're just SOOooOOoOo above it all.  However, the end result is, the farmers are better armed than you, and perform better because of it.

The fact that you show a personal angst and anger towards farming and farmers shows the personal offense you're taking from this. 

Remember, it's just a game.

Is this what you call an argument?  Really.  Good to know.  I'll also put away that little tidbit that how many toys you have in your box is a direct correlation to how well you perform in the game.  I'm gonna take a wild guess and bet there's a lot of people here who would take issue with that.

And honestly, if the above is your idea of deductive and inductive reasoning you need to stop and go back to playing FBW ... it's not your strong suit.  Toodles.

Nah, I expected it.

Since the victory pack is practically worthless, players will focus on the squad goal. And when the squad goal is "extract on gold against any enemy", "any enemy" is going to mean geth for a lot of players, and the majority of dead enemies will be geth.

So bioware, here's a free tip: next time, have the squad goal correspond with the allied goal. If the allied goal is "kill x number of y", then the squad goal should involve the category of enemy that y belongs to. I mean, you got it right with the promotion goal, why have you forgotten it now?

2 million, perhaps, if everyone got into it. But not 3. Also, lots of people only care about the Commendation Pack, rather than putting the team effort in; just the way people tend to be with their selfish desires.

I am not upset. I figured we'd fail, even though I think I did my part. And since vic packs are worth less than a jumbo eq pack... I'd rather do a silver match and get a jumbo eq than 100 golds for a vic pack.

Besides, the community of people that are knowledgeable, competent, and willing enough to have gotten 3 mil banshees is too small. The vast majority is still incapable, for one reason or another, of making a major contribution to such a goal.

I would like to see more goals in the future though. Especially since 1 comm pack every 2 weeks is a ridiculous drop rate. Making at least 2 or 3 possible would a lot better. The commendation goals have been so generic, they could easily have a few specific goals... IE, reapers are attacking tuchanka (extract gold, reapers, giant) and cerberus is raiding noveria (extract gold, cerberus, glacier).

You should learn to read. We have FAILED that means that there will be no victory packs and no commedation packs.
It works like this:

• If operation succeeds everybody gets victory packs + ppeople who managed to complete squad objective will get a commendation pack.
• If operation fails everybody gets nothing at all

I think you're wrong. Maybe you should go read the post, just in the same manner you said to Azrever.

Two goals, they aren't tied to each other and nothing implies they are. 

Well I was pretty sure iread somewhere that the packs are tied together.
Anyway getting rewards for failing is stupid any idiot can get full extraction on farming game vs geth where is the challenge in that. TBH they should have tied the commendation packs with full extraction vs reapers that would separate the wheat from the chaff[/i]

I'm disappointed. Yes, I agree that the victory packs are maybe not as awesome as they could be, but for me one of the fun things about this game is actually trying to make the target - I'd try even if there wasn't a victory pack at the end. That being said, it was Mother's Day on Sunday which meant a lot less game time for me - while I did my best to contribute to the community goal, I didn't have all that much time to do it. So yeah, disappointed - but looking forward to the next challenge already!

Not at all. I killed plenty of banshees during the weekend so this has nothing to do with me. I could care less that an arbitrary number of people killed an arbitrarily set number of banshees over an arbitrary amount of time--or that they failed by an arbitrary amount due to no clue of progress towards the goal. Plus, I miss out on a glorified equipment pack, whoop-de-doo.

Now, you're scrabbling around humorously.  Your nuclear option of trying to call me "son" has failed, so you don't know what else to do?

Anyway.  Actually, yes, there is a direct correlation.  Your low-leveled weapons will perform insufficiently in a gold game.  Two players of equal skill, give one a Mantis X, and the other a BW I.  Who's going to do better?  The one with better equipment.

on another note: i'm more disappointed that the me3 community folded when finally presented with a challenge....that's all they've been asking for, saying how the game/challenges have been easy...bw complies, and the community just says it's not worth it to even try....what a load of bs....

im upset i got a crusader. I'd say the challenge for 1 million banshees was ridiculous. Banshees are the hardest enemy in the game and you only get around 10 of them per gold game.
