i don't care at all, personally, and reaper gold is pretty much all i play. banshees are dying regardless of some worthless victory pack as a reward.

It's hard enough to find a competent Reaper gold lobby as it is, and the fact that the squad goal was for a full extraction didn't really help at all.

That way I'm sure a lot more people would care more. Because seriously last week victory pack was simply an ordinary regular pack..

Not really...just comes to show that people have begun to move on. These numbers will decrease even further as time goes on...I mean, if they had designed it so that there was replayability in the campaign, those that are on their 7th or so run would still continue to support MP...but alas, from poor and downright stupid decisions, BW has completely screwed themselves over.
I think we failed this time around because:
A) More people realized that the Victory pack was jsut a waste of good bullets and time.It was Mother's Day weekend
C) The PS3 announcement is still bugged from what I hear. So tons of players on that platform might not have known. (Can PS3 confirm that there is still no in-game announcement?)
If they made the Victory pack worth it I'm certain the outcome would improve.
Yeah PS3 non-announcement was a big issue. Over the past weekend I still saw FBWGG 50% of the time even I picked reapers as the faction..

They wanted us to kill 3 million of the tankiest, hardest-to-kill enemy in the game. Fine.
But they want us to kill them in three days.
Without being able to alert PS3 users.
Over a holiday weekend.
Right before the Diablo 3 launch.
For a box worth about 20K credits on a good day.
Right, good luck with that.

Now, you're scrabbling around humorously. Your nuclear option of trying to call me "son" has failed, so you don't know what else to do?
Anyway. Actually, yes, there is a direct correlation. Your low-leveled weapons will perform insufficiently in a gold game. Two players of equal skill, give one a Mantis X, and the other a BW I. Who's going to do better? The one with better equipment.
Shockingly simple.
Nuclear option? Hahahaha ... I give you one thing, you never fail to entertain.
Well, yes. If you had two individuals with exactly the same level of skill - one with superior weapons - then the better weapons will allow for one to perform at a higher level. But when exactly did we say anything about exact same level of skill?
And my low-leveled weapons will perform insufficiently in a gold game? Ok. I'm not sure how coming in 1st or 2nd in the majority of my gold matches with my little engineers and a Carnifex IV jibes with that; but why should you let a little thing like reality bother you? Let me guess, you told yourself the reason you were getting your butt handed to you in Gold was because your weapons stunk?

I thought it was going to be a tough one, but I tried hard and spend dozens of missiles, in case enough teams out there would do the same.
Seems I could have saved those
With Mother's Day, I had a lot of planning and picking up flowers/edible arrangements to do so I didn't get to play alot. I'm still trying to figure out when Mother's Day went from being about your mom to your mom, your gf/wife, your aunts ... etc. Well, that was slightly off-topic.
Anyway, I think i got between 15-20 banshees in the few games I played. But I did the same as you. Man the missiles were flying. I'd be annoyed if it wasn't actually pretty fun. I don't think I left a match on Fri or Sat with any missiles unfired. I was somewhere over 100 stockpiled when it all started.

But failure was expected. 3 millions, really ? People bothered with the gold extraction at most. But the victory packs are garbage, so no reason at all to keep at it.

Considering that I got an N7 Eagle in the commendation pack..............I'd say the entire effort was a loss and not worth trying at all.

The contest results are just story. Not based on results.
It is as meaningless to "beat the goal" as it is to "fail the goal" if there is no feedback about how close we are and no trust that what we are doing is actually influencing the numbers.
But its' true nobody needs the pack. So if they were doing this as a story element and not a play incentive then the reward is about right. Nobody is going to miss a victory pack when we fail.
