I'm a little disappointed, but the goal was probably too high anyways. Would've been nice to have less Banshees around. I might've been able to love more people without the competition. Life goes on anyways, though.

That is the problem, they tripled the body count on a foe that is relatively scarce on the field - especially at anything below Gold.

I'm glad to see that failure is an option but this was a mission rigged to fail to be honest.

I think most people expected it to fail. Bioware set it up for failure as well by not making Gold reaper extraction the commendation goal.

Yep.  No idea what bioware were thinking.

i think they intentionally wanted us to fail so they could "bring in new allies to fight against the reapers" and the whole "since we lost we had to pull forces from asari space" part (aka the thessia map we're getting). had we actually achieved victory it wouldn't have gone with the role play as much

No .I always thought the bar was set too high on this operation. As tomhagen says, this was probably meant to happen as a reason to bring in new characters. If that is the case then I look forward to playing with these characters . Victory Packs are pretty underwhelming.

Certainly could care less about the Victory pack, but the whole immersion aspect is why I am disappointed. I killed a ton of banshees trying to do my part, but alas, I doubted we'd succeed.

When were commendation packs released? I hadn't gotten mine 2.5 hours ago

Was too busy fus-ro-dah'ing cave bears off cliffs and sniping dragons out of the sky to care about operation silencer.

If Victory Packs actually contain Gold rares more people would be motivated to participate in getting the community goal. There's still some gold weapons I need to level up.

Hadn't received my Commendation Pack as of this morning, so I did a live chat with Origin/EA. They added it to my account, and I received it a few hours later...

My thoughts exactly dude. 3 million banshees was of what was to come.

I wonder if Bioware is actually reading on how much we don't care that we failed, even if it was an intentional ploy to sneak in dlc.

It was an unrealistic goal out of the gate - especially since the player base is probably declining and yet they set the goal as more banshees than phantoms.

It's like they set it up to fail so they wouldn't have to deal with coming up with a stupid "Victory Pack" - it might make more work for someone.

Extremely lame and I really hate the Crusader I got too.

Edit: - No I don't give a crap.

Not in the slightest. I'm actually rather pleased. The operation's failure might mean that some people actually still have the decency to spend some time with their mothers on Mother's Day rather than ignoring them to play the same video game they can play every other day. Frankly, I think it's in rather poor taste on EA/Bioware's part to have hosted the operation on that weekend.

A bit, if only because I'm not Gold material yet and Victory packs are the only "free" packs I can get at this point.

And I like free...

I didn't really give a ****, Victory packs suck, Banshees are my least favorite enemy to fight because of how imba they are and the goal seemed ridiculous, you stack on how they've botched the rewards EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. and I didn't have any emotional investment from being burned over and over again.

Nope, I'm just concerned about why the Silencer Commendation Pack does not yet appear on my "User Entitlements" page...
