I'm sorry to post what I'm sure others have posted here, but I've done the whole song and dance here (https://help.ea.com/...ffect-3-on-x360), and it did not work for me. I've talked with the online support countless times, and each time they tell me something new and entirely unhelpful. Yes, I can keep waiting, but it's been two months now, and I'd like to play through the single-player campaign WITH the choices I made in the previous two games still intact.
Are there any other options that I've missed? Is there any sort of save file that BioWare is making available that I can download or any kind of patch on the horizon that allows you to start a new character, but to really put in all of the decisions that you made in the previous games (including saving the various characters and NPCs, like the Rachni Queen)?
What irritates me the most, I think, is that if I was going to wait two months to play the game, I might as well have waited until after launch day -- if I were to buy it today, I'd pay $15 less.
Sorry for my disgruntled tone: anybody have any ideas or consolations?

Not much info I can provide you here. Technically you're off topic as these are the ME2 tech boards and it's an ME3 problem you have. My current knowledge of ME3 problems and solutions are limited at best (there isn't that wealth of solutions yet).
While BioWare seems to be aware of the various bugs in the game, and those that govern the game, it has been a long time since any update or communication from them. For the time being, if you haven't already, I would suggest you post on the ME3 tech boards to see if anyone has found any solution or workaround; and provide more details about your situation. When I troubleshoot I personally require more info than you've provided above regarding your system; add those to your post and perhaps someone on the ME3 tech boards will know.
