Ok so hopefully you've all heard of the leaked DLC for MP called "Rebellion".
There are two classes whose races are unknown to us due to their title.
- The Phoenix Vanguard and the Phoenix Adept.
What do you think they will be?
Possibly the Raloi? Which we've yet to see in-game.
Maybe an Asari Matriarch class? Considering one of the new maps is on Thessia.
Or maybe an Elcor? Hanar? (lol) The Volus!?!?!
My guess is most likely Prothean or Raloi, but that wouldn't make any sense due to Javik being the only known live Prothean, unless this DLC also adds a SP mission that gets us Prothean War Assets. The Raloi wouldn't make a lot of sense either due to them trying to hide from the Reapers and pretend to be an un-advanced race.
Thoughts? Vote on the Poll here and place your bets!

Raloi are out of the question.
Could be Protheans or Cerberus Defectors.
I'm personally hoping it's a subset of Turians that can shoot flames out of their asses.

Really? I've yet to hear that from any official source.
I haven't thought of that though, I guess it is possible. Kind of disapointing if true actually, because human classes are lame as ****, hopefully they would have some awesome abilities though to make up for it.

What would ex-cerberus "race" do that's so special?

I'm saying Prothean, even though I don't really like the idea. I don't buy ex Cerberus because of the clear biotic leanings.

It's probably Protheans somehow. I'm just guessing, but the name of the Javik DLC is "From Ashes" which is typically a phrase used to describe how a Phoenix is born. They will probably say that they grew them in a tank somewhere like Grunt, or they found a hidden stash of them.

I think that's what most people are thinking.
Although this ex-Cerberus thing seems quite likely as well, but why would they call ex-Cerberus "Phoenix" instead of just Cerberus? Or Cerberus agent? That is what just doesn't make sense to me.

What I think: Protheans.
What I want: ex-Cerberus.

Bet that the Phoenix are both former Cerberus and Protheans - Protheans previously enslaved by Cerberus that throw off their chains to fight. Cerberus got'em some Protheans either by reverse engineering/de-husking some Collectors they had lying around, discovering and thawing out a previously undiscovered and undisturbed Prothean-popsicle facility, or building Protheans from genetic material recovered from a monster, toilet-clogging dump that Javik took in the women's bathroom during his last visit to the Citadel. Cerberus has the technology.
