Meh they'll never make it unless they are tanking, and when ever that is those of us who want the game or played it won't be gaming still or care. Could be wrong might be in another 4 years, but I remember thinking that 8 years ago. Unless they make a VERY horrible FF game you'll never see FF7 again.

Can't say I really care at this point. This isn't the first time SE has said this. I think they should focus on future games first, like Versus XIII, XIII-3, and KH3. Then after those inevitably do well they can start work on some sort of remake of VII. And even then maybe not. Cause you know that everyone will be expecting so much that they'll all be disappointed no matter how great it would be.

He's right. They should focus on making their future games the best they can be instead of phoning it in by dipping into their back catalogue. Especially after the critical response the last two Final Fantasy games got.

I actually had hoped they would make remakes for almost all the older FF's. ina way i sort of agree with you, the newer the FF the less i liked it.

Good, that's how it should be. I don't want a game I didn't like to be put ahead of Versus XIII, which was announced 6 years ago by the way.
I think I was 11 when I beat KH2. Still waiting on 3.

Lulz. The FF series hit its peak with FFVII - it's when FFVIII came out that things started to get wobbly IMHO.
Nomura can dream that he'll make a FF title "better" than FFVII, but he's kidding himself if he honestly thinks it can happen - the FF series' prime is long past. Hell, I'll bet they'd even screw up a remake if it ever did happen tbh.

Part of why I don't even care anymore, SE with its current direction ignoring fans, making crap games, I just I don't even fallow them anymore. Its not worth it at all. But I do hope they'll make a GOOD FF Game, and not another Kingdom hearts kiddy game just to cash in fast.
Also Lucas, yeah it doesn't matter to you but hey, your a kid. Those of us who were as old as you are now back then who stuck with Final Fantasy, well for us most of us of the PS generation FF7 was our title.
THOUGH as an edit I would rather have like a FF7-2 rather than a remake of the original.

Well that's a bit silly I think. Of course there could be a FF game better than VII (imho there are 3 that are already). I mean, that's like saying we know everything SE will ever make ever and we know none of it will ever be better than VII no matter what and that's that and I can't tell you why that is, it just is. They CAN make a FF game better than VII, but for the most part it seems a lot of fans feel they haven't yet. Well, they are learning from the feedack. Look at XIII compared to XIII-2. I personally prefer the first game, but there's no doubt that they listened to fan critism and changed things up for the second one. So of course they CAN make a better FF than VII, they just have yet to (in some ppls opinions)

VII is great. As VI and IV
it's because VI and IV were so good, that made VII, VIII, IX and even X good.
those were the days of Squaresoft and not Enix.... completely different

there's always one of them. I agree with you man. for those who grew up with SquareSOFT, we know what's a REAL FF RPG game and not, this crap they're giving us now.
I only hope BW doesn't go in this direction. I played the FFIV Remake on the DS (thought it was great) it felt like a real FF classic game.
now.............you got FFXIII which was nothing at all what a FF should be. FFXII was boring no good characters.
We need Auron, Lcoke, Cyan Shadow - those were real characters not...........vanielle

....and look what they've given us so far...
I think maybe they should go back to the past --- and see what made Squaresoft Great -- compared to Square Enix
