First off - FFIV and VII were SquareSOFT and secondly FFIV remake on the DS was masterfully done. And it wasn't SE that did it - it was a seperate studio who brought in the original developers to "oversee" the project.

Thank Lucifer that you are so much smarter than I, because you also knew about the FF4 sequel bundled with the PSP remake as well. Tell me what you miracle juice you drink, I need to get in on that.

And secondly, if you notice all those franchises I listed were started by Squaresoft, and later ruined by SE. FF4 sequal was made by SE and so were the follow ups to 7. Perhaps you should check your facts before flying off the handle like a pissy little fanboy.

You have to understand. Square-Enix is EXTREMELY busy right now. They have so many Games to work on: FF Versus XIII, the final installments for the Kingdom Hearts Series, future FF Projects, etc.

And if anyone in SE is to Direct the FF VII Remake, it would most likely be either Tetsuya Nomura (Director and Character Designer of Kingdom Hearts and many other Characters, and Director of FF VII: Advent Children and Versus XIII), or Yoshinori Kitase (Director of the Original FF VII Game).

They brought back the original developers to "oversee" the project of FFIV remake on the DS. And I and many others were very pleased on how well that turned out.

To keep the "faithfulness"of the game. Bring in the originals. Nomura was only the character designer (as you said) in FFVII but I don't think for him to be a director is a good idea. I personally don't like Nomura as a director. His style is much different then I'm used too.

But, either case - If it ever happens (PS4 Launch Title) be perfect choice IMO
