I am considering installing the new worldmap v9 as mods such as "The Drizzt Saga" and "The Secret of Bonehill" don't work properly anyway.
However the readme's are not very explicit about what needs to be done, particularly with regard to Tutu.
Do I install in the SoA directory as per the BGT instructions, or do I have to install it in Tutu as well?
Do I have to delete the old worldmap and then run the installation afresh? Or is there an uninstallation that needs to be done?
Do I then have to reinstall all my mods after the installation of the worldmap?

You need to install in whatever the working directory for your game is - so that would be the separate Tutu installation if you're using that.
You should uninstall the previous version (by running installation again) before installing the new one.
In theory Weidu will automatically uninstall all later mod components and then reinstall them when you uninstall a mod that's not last on the list. If you don't trust that you should uninstall manually working back from the last mod (until you get to the one you want to get rid of) and then reinstall. I would expect the Worldmap mod to be almost the last one installed anyway.
