I wasn't sitting too close to my little TV for a while, but l began noticing how leathery they have made Asari skin.  I think they went a little overboard with the textures.  Looks like snake skin.  Did the Asari have a Reptilian based evolution?

Anyone else notice?  I think it was most evident in that love scene.

poor 360 rez - if you had decent graphics (read pc) you'd have seen the changes beginning in LotSB - yeah they made her look like an alien - surprise!

Can't say I spent much time staring intently at Liara's skin. Or any character's for that matter.

They made the asari skin texture more obvious as time went on.  It's pretty hard to miss when playing at a decent resolution.

Yup., I love it. Makes people look WAY more alien. Which is needed.

Probably just a matter of better tech and graphics and all that stuff as the years have gone buy. Another case in point is the difference between Wrex in ME1 and Me2...etc.

She does look more alien, but she didn't really look TOO human before. The fact that Asari are supposed to be so desirable in the game world was giving me conflict. I could give it more credence when they looked like blue girls with strange hair. But when I consider that all the species look at Asari as desirable, then it just doesn't make any sort of sense at all.

It is cool to see any textures on a console, I must say.

When I saw Liara during her sex scene I had a real strong urge to want to make a belt and a members only jacket out of her.

Technically, you could see those scales way back in ME1, they are reflection-mapped on the edges of the crest, making them slightly reflective. Also noticeable on some asari in ME2, although yes, LotSB was the first to bring that stuff to the fore.

I find it a good move to remind us that while they LOOK sorta human-like, they are anything but.

I noticed it. Actually like it. Makes sense along with the asari 'crown' (aka tentacle-heads).

I like her being more obviously alien. I don't imagine the skin being 'rough', but a fine soft calfskin texture.
