I like the new skin textures, personally.

It makes the Asari look more like the aliens that they are. As for the classification of the Asari as a species, they are mammalian rather than reptilian. The dead give away is the two mammary glands on the front of every Asari we've met so far.

I like her being more obviously alien. I don't imagine the skin being 'rough', but a fine soft calfskin texture.

I think the texture is just bigger pores compared to humans, rather than scales.
 
When Grunt goes through everything he's learned on how to kill other species, he notes that Asari and humans are 'soft' while Quarian hide is tougher to get through with a knife, and Turian hide toughest of all. One of the two Krogan that argues about fish on the Presidium can also be heard saying he wants to screw the Asari consort. His buddy will get grossed out and say that Asari are 'squishy.'

In short, they definitely aren't 'leathery.'

I am all about Liara, but damn...Tali has it going in all the right places as well. Nice child bearing hips too lol.

I wish there was a way to have them both freaky Asari and Quarian 3 way woot...
