Interesting read and you definitely have put a lot of time into the report (s). There are various points and methodology choices I don't really agree with but in the end its a great summary of the people who participated opinion.
Many thanks. Yes there were a number of difficult decisions in both the surveys and the reports. In the end for most of them we just had to make a call and go with that approach. Most of the time it was almost fun. Almost. ; )

I salute your efforts. The only thing I can critique is that unfortunately the results can't be generalized. Not much you can do about it, but your findings may be dismissed by those in BioWare as biased. Regardless, it was an excellent report and BioWare may want to hire you for their marketing research team.
Many thanks. Re generalization - fair point, except not so much 'can't' as needing to be seen as the sample they are. But in the context of the 70,000 plus who voted in the BSN poll that they didn't like the ending, and the recent results from the German poll (17,000 plus respondents) with 90% saying they thought the ending was very bad or were dissappointed in the current ending then the breakdown we've provided for the 3000 odd who participated in our surveys has a stronger case for being 'representative'. Re market research for Bioware - well, eveyone has their price! Just so long as it's understood that our price is to be fearlessly honest and to boldly go where no Bioware employee has been before! :blink:Yeah - couple free dlcs would about do it! LOL!

BioWare has both physical and electronic copies?! That is awesome! Glad to see that when we come together as a community instead of tearing each other apart we can actually get the message to BioWare. First the book, now this and I think The Tribute will soon too. I tip my virtual hat to you Mr. MikeC99.
Many thanks. Original idea and half the team work belongs to Ofish - so I'll pass on.

Mike and Will,
Thanks for sending us your report, "Towards a Consensus". We appreciate the work that you and the other contributors and respondents put into it. We have been doing similar work here at Bioware to assemble, analyze, and interpret player feedback on Mass Effect 3. That feedback has provided guidance as we build the expansions to the endings for the upcoming Extended Cut downloadable content. The fact that your report is constructive makes it a particularly useful source for information for us, and we’ve referred to it more than once. But above all else, our team is driven by a passion for entertaining players, so they thrive on feedback like this which is respectful and supportive – even when it offers criticism.
We are in production on the Extended Cut, and we think that its additional scenes and expanded epilogue provide many of the answers and options that are described in your report. Naturally, each player has different expectations, so we can’t expect that everyone can be totally satisfied with any story. But we’ve been listening carefully, and many of the points of feedback were things that we too were excited to expand on, as fans of the Mass Effect universe ourselves. The team is currently working hard to deliver something that helps us all say a more satisfying goodbye to Shepard’s journey.
I should go,

Thanks again, both for conducting the polls and agonizing over the analysis.
