Well, my friend will be new to Neverwinter Nights so for starters, I want to give him a good impression of it. He moved to a differernt town a while ago, and is visiting soon. I got him a copy of neverwinter nights diamond edition so that we could play online co-op. (One of the ways we keep in touch, basically :P)

I considered Neverwinter Nights Offical Campagin... I loved it... still do... but maybe I'm blinded by my feelings of it from when I was 10. I've heard more bad things about then good things so I have no idea. Maybe its outdated.

So is the Offical Campagin a good first impression for him?

If not... Nows the reason I posted in this subfourm

What is a good co-op module for us to play. Perferablly an epic campagin.

If he never played nwn before, OC is a good start to introduce the game before moving to modules with more complex scripts/rules...

I'd do the OC as well. It's a whole different animal when played co-op than it is as a single player. After the OC it's open season on the vault. Eye of the Beholder by Rick Francis' team is very good for a dungeon crawl. Halls of the High King and Accursed Tower by Udasu are also very good.

How about the Aielund Saga? Would that work well in coop? I have a very similar situation with a friend who is just starting with NWN. We started the OC last night.

Thanks your responses. I think we'll try OC. If he doesn't like it we'll try a different module and then if not that, well I guess there won't be much future for him in Neverwinter Nights. xD

Empyre65, we played Aielund coop (2 PCs) and it was awesome. It was the second module we played coop and I'd say it ranks as high as any we've played since.

But, I would generally agree that the OC is a fine way to introduce a new player to the game. That's what me and my partner played first coop (I had played it before). It's kind of a common benchmark for discussing and comparing other modules. And, frankly, I enjoy it and find it very replayable, as long as you aren't worried about checking every rain barrel for loot, which can get a little dull.

Yeah, Aielund is great for Coop, but the OC for an introduction is a good idea.
