Good thing we can still hear his beautifully wise words through Xbox.

But.... he is the hero BSN deserves.

But not the hero BSN needs at the moment. ;)

Lots of noobs just don't go to matches prepared. Also, if you're a bad ass, you could do the reviving yourself, or at least provide backup to the other two randoms who are doing what you could've done.

I usually only use gels if I know I'm in a bad spot, and will endanger potential reviving teammates, or rage gel.

Come on Disciple, I thought you'd be better than this.

12 months and nothing has changed; randoms still refuse to gel.

Likely because they're bronze level leeches who don't even have the capacity for more than 2 Gels, let alone actually having any Gels because they're buying nothing but 99K packs like idiots.

I have checked the manifests of most randoms the past two weeks. The amount of people reading up with zero medgel and zero rockets rockets in their inventory is huge. There is no excuse for this.

They're mostly newer players, they never buy anything but 99k packs. Several UR's but barely a common weapon mod after ~ 100h of playtime. Not to mention any sort of consumable. No need to blame it on the RNG, since the basic stuff is still very easy to come by, it's a lack of common sense. And a lack of respect towards your potential teammates to go unprepared into gold + matches.

Simples: Medigel costs money, and given that you know nothing about your team mates (and thus odds of actually making a profit if you use consumables) it's safer to not use them unless you play with people you know.

Disciple wants you to know you're all still scrubs. Especially you ScrUhb Cold.

In addition his position has changed.  PUGs should not medigel.  More glory for him.

Any player who is not ready and willing to use every last bit of their consumables is a bad teammate.  There is no excuse.  They are bad and they should feel bad.

If I play PUG, I rather rsik mission failed then using one medigel, not because I don't have any, I always have >200. But I have a maxed manifest except ultra-rars, so I do not really need the credits but I like to tell some pug'er that they need to care about the team, if they like to succeed.

But I hate most if people use medigel also if you would be able to revive them in 1 sec.

There should also be a medigel-less speedrun competition ;-)

Edit: there is also a practical reason, most time matches go well, but sometimes specially on platinum, there could be hacking in a very bad spot on wave 10, you might regret to have used a rage medigel.

I don't expect teammates to revive me, so I usually gel unless there's synchkill unit camping my ass or I'm confident the others will be able to handle the wave without me. Besides, everytime a teammate tells me to hold on cause they're coming for me, a stomp unit shows up

PuGs get worse and worse. I've started to basically only play with friends anymore.

I am glad to know that at least we have newcomers bringing life to this game. Leechers, glitchers, campers. Everything seems to be business as usual.

Stay mad poor scrubs.
I have 240 medi-gels and tend to waste them even when being revived.

But seriously I had to grind 36 hours for those..

Aye.  It can be rough building up that supply but once you do it is really hard to run out.

I go down, I immediately medigel out of butthurt. then I go hunting for the bastard that took me down, and take it down with a heavy melee.

Wait, what? You have 200+ medigel and a maxed manifest and you'd rather fail a mission than use ONE medigel? Sorry, but I'm not so sure you're the person who should be instructing PUGers that they need to be team players because you have in fact JUST admitted that you're NOT a team player. How do you not see that? "I'd rather FAIL THE ENTIRE MISSION than use one medigel! Screw everyone else! I have everything I need so let them learn a lesson!" No one is going to listen to you if you clench your medigels and your principles so tightly between your buttcheeks, dude.

That bit of silliness aside, I don't have a maxed manifest but I've been playing a loooong time and there's nothing that annoys me more than some "elite" player chiming in to scold the rest of them team about their playing habits. It happens to me quite often. I'll play a PuG, turn my mic off, and commence with the destruction. Sometimes I see a n00b doing something stupid - let's say he uses a medigel when I'm standing RIGHT on top of him about to revive. Do I start a monologue about the necessities of team play and the lessons that need to be learned for success? No. I say, "Hey man, just wait next time - someone is probably ready to revive less than 5 feet away!" There have been other occasions when suddenly I hear a mic turn on and then hear some elitist gamer launch into a diatribe aimed at his teammates for simple, forgivable mistakes. When that happens I turn my mic on, tell Mr. Elitist to take a chill pill and lead by example; I'm perfectly willing to carry the team just so they don't have to hear Greater-Than-Thou goons berate them for mistakes we all made when we started playing.

Well, I do not "teach" via mic, just silently by the playstyle like not using medigel. Using medigel is mostly also just to speedup, which is not needed. Around 20 mins is completely fine for me. Also I would rather consider using rage-medigel as Elitist behavior. Newbies don't have 6 gels and so it might even be more important that they keep it for urgency only.

If you are such an elitist and medigel everytime you fall, how does that teach newbies to revive others? And more important using their own gel only if really necessary.

Actually, other players using medigel is much more annoying as others not trying to reviive others, but I think those are usually the same guys. Because they use gel, they expect others to do the same, I try to do the opposite not using gel and hopping others don't use either.)

And overall, don't get me wrong, there are reasons to use gel, like getting final kill or bleeding out far away from the team.

So using medigel is considered elitist and annoying now? That's the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long time.

I'm considering ALWAYS going titanic on pugs who do not medigel. You bleed out, i bleed out. Lets all fail together.

The loss of credits don't affect me since i've maxed my manifest and only use them to by equipment and consumables. The ones who are wasting their time are the other 3.

Simple lessons like when do you medigel are learnt in SILVER. Even simpler lessons like what is medigel and how do i activate it is learnt in BRONZE.

You go to gold and above and not use/don't have medigel, you are either useless or a liability. But don't worry, if i'm in a match with only players like you, i'll fufill your wish and i won't use any medigel either. LOL!

Hold on, is someone actually saying we shouldn't gel at all? Really?
