 I don't see your logic at all. Surely not using items is FAR more elitist? Accuse the people who refuse to contribute because they think other players are bad and deserve to fail of elitism.

 And credits and upgrades are earned through working to beat matches, not sitting on your ass. (well ignoring FBWGG) It's not like they spend hundreds of their parent's cash on random card packs. 

A lot of people can't or don't have the resources to constantly Medi Gel and if a cause is lost then the item will just be wasted. I can use two Medi Gel in a match, if I use one or both on wave 3 just to complete the wave then I won't have any for wave 9 and chances are we won't make it that far anyway.

Demanding that people should use thier meagre resources just to satifsy your criteria of how the game should be played is incredibly elitist and missing the point. Smarter rezzing would have completely prevented both situations mentioned by the OP.

I frankly don't get a lot of this "elitist" talk, it's not elitist to say someone shouldn't play on a difficulty which is more than they can handle, that's called common sense. People playing gold that shouldn't be there do so because they're greedy and want more credits more quickly than they can get on their own, but a simple search can get a game with people they can leech off so they take the easy route and be a leecher. It doesn't matter if they're trying to help, unless they are actually capable of being an asset then all they'really doing is getting a free ride off the more skilled teammates. Anyone who does that is an @$%#%@, if you can't handle the heat stay out of the fire, because it's those of us who are in it for the win that are the ones who end up getting burned. Bioware messed up a lot with how they set up this multiplayer, like they went out of their way to encourage people to play beyond their skill level, and that's just bull$%#*, but it's still on the head of everyone who plays in Gold to be up to the challenge, it's neither elitist to say one is up to it, nor to say someone else isn't, it is what it is, I'm certainly all for peoples playing gold when they're ready, but public lobbies are not the place to hone your skills, they're the place to go when you've already honed them, something most people just don't seem to get.

I'm certainly no Rambo, I play nothing but Gold matches but I do it with lv. 20 characters (I've stopped promoting at 600 so all my classes are fully powered up, equipped and ready to go on a moment's notice), I've never solo'd gold before (never tried either, because I don't expect I'd be able to succeed yet, I did try twice a while ago actually come to think, got to waves 6 & 7, respectively) and I'm certainly not one of those people running around soloing gold as a lv. 1, so the fact that I can handle myself on gold is a statement of fact, not a boast, and that's about as much as I can say for myself. I'm definitely good at this game, maybe borderline great, but by no means amazing or spectacular, that's a whole echelon above me, so if anything I feel like I'm in the middle. I like to think I'm above average at least, certainly in certain areas I excell more than others, but I certainly couldn't think of a less accurate description of myself than an "elitist."

You're right of course, but not because that's the way it should be, obviously the reality of randoms who suck filling gold is one we're all aware of at this point, I'm saying no one who can't hold their own in Gold belongs playing there, the fact that they don't realize how much they suck/don't care is a problem that Bioware should try to do something to fix with some sort of qualifications being made of a person's skills, anything really would be nice, so long as it keeps bad players out of expert matches. And no way am I ever going to stop expecting people to meet the challenges of Gold when they play it, that's what is automatically expected of those who choose to play there, the fact that I also expect most of those people to fail is undeniable, but wrong in so many ways, what else am I to do but call bull$&#@? I don't expect it to make a difference, but that's not going to stop me from trying.

i would be nice if they would at least take gold out of the random searches. but fortunately for me i have a big enough friends list. that i dosnt really affect me. i end up playing with randoms once in a blue moon. but usually just host. however i like getting a n7 level1 im my lobbies every now and again for the lols

If you're trying to save your medigel for the end of the match, good. If you only have two to begin with, you probably shouldn't be in Gold yet, but aside from that, it goes without saying that for any given match you have to ration what you have to have any shot of winning, the problem is when people enter a match without being prepared to use everything they take with them (or not having stuff to use), if you have two medigel and don't use them if/when there's a need, you're an @&@'*$#%. No one should ever enter a match without being prepared to go all the way, no matter the cost. These are facts, very basic stuff really, if you don't like it, tough. Equipment is not hard to come by, if you don't have any it's no one's fault but your own and you can't use it as an excuse. If you're not willing to play cooperatively, you shouldn't be playing this game, and part of being a team player is not being a drain on the resources of everyone you play with. Pull your own weight or don't play, but leechers calling people elitist who criticize them would be funny if it weren't so pitiful.

 I don't blame someone else for not "smart rezzing". If I go down I suck it up and admit I messed up. They're the ones still standing and I'm the ****** on the floor.

@Firebase Dagger poster - Lol, yes, those are exactly the scenarios I mean. Yesterday, my squad wiped on Wave 10 on Geth/Hydra, because my teammates were too busy shooting pyros instead of enemy targets I was yelling at them to rocket the Primes and switch enemy targets, since I had to use all of mine on Upload objectives (and saving them, ugh) earlier, but no, not a single rocket was fired, even when there was only ONE enemy target left. Plus, because they kept killing random ass enemies, the whole map got overrun, and then all of them wiped. I had to kill all the enemy targets by myself, luckily I delivered the final blow to the last Prime before going down. We got the creds, but it was leeching at its finest.

Here is a tip for any Juggernauts out there.  When you go down chances are it's because you got seriously overwhelmed.  It is almost never safe for anyone to go revive. Use a Gel and an Ops because if you don't you are probably going down again.
