I've seen a number of people talk about using an auto reroller to make characters.  I've used the search function here and google, but haven't been able to find anything.  Is the one for BG2 still available?  And is there one that works for BG1?  Any help is appreciated.

I think you are talking about Frabjous Autoroller for BG 2 engine. He used to have a web site, but it's not up anymore. I don't have it myself, but some people who frequent the board still do. Maybe they can help...

I just used GateKeeper editor. I never gave myself perfect characters but I did tire of trying to get a half-elf ranger with a 18 STR so he can use compound bows.

Serg Blackstrider used to post a link to it in his footer - see his post here.  I seem to remember it being described as a bit picky about what mods etc it allows, but I've never used it in earnest.
