I dont really care where i score so long as the mission is done and we get our credits...i happy to achieve targets than go for kills.

I don't care being #1, but I care about my score in a way. If my score has a 9k - 12k difference with the other guy(s), I feel like I'm not doing good enough.

It's fun to see your name at the top of the board, but I don't concern myself too much about it. It's flawed in several ways:

1. The host will almost always be the top scorer, unless they're really bad or playing a strict support build, due to their advantage in having no lag time whatsoever.

2. People who get the final kill on an enemy get noticeably more XP than those who assisted, meaning that again, support characters get much less recognition for their help.

3. You get much more points by standing around and killing enemies instead of hacking objectives. Again, this encourages people who are score-hunters to kill enemies instead of focusing on the objective. This isn't really a problem most of the time, unless you're on Gold and the only Infiltrator is sniping enemies instead of hacking the objective.

I don't care about the score most of the time,as I'm just playing on Silver for fun and make a point not to even check it. I did go through a phase of checking it out though and when I first started play I initially thought it was somehow related to the credits etc... you got at the end of the match.

I find it depend on the class you play too. If I'm a Krogan Vangaurd/Geth Engineer I'll probably end up top but If I'm a Batarian Sentinel then I'll be lower but have just as much fun shooting things with my net and sticking hot metal spikes in them from the Kishock.

So in the end of the day if all I cared about was score I'd end up play a few strong weapon character combos and miss out trying different guns/characters that can give you more of a challenge to be successful with.

I do my best to kick some ass, and there's been quite a bit of me in the one, and the two spots respectively, but it really doesn't matter. I play to have fun.

I usually don't care about score, but I feel bad if everyone else scores much more than me. Feels like I'm not doing my job properly.

What matters most to me is getting a full extraction, though.

I go for the 3 or high spot when playing. I try not to get 4th place. But I think getting the credits is the better option then going for 1st in the score board.

I always play a full-on support teammate so I don't usually end up being 1st or never at all of the scoreboard. But. I am always the one who carries the team. Reviving everyone's butt on most of the objectives during my gold runs and I'm proud to be the best medic out there and firepower support when I'm playing Infil. When I'm Engie I aggro targets and mobs so my teammates can do their thing like. I'm the ultimate wingman. Taking the hit, So my brothers can live their dreams (like being #1 on the scoreboard or like ranking up their chars).

lol! YES I'AM NUMBAH ONE!

And which kinda suck in a way cause it usually eats up mah cobra-missile stock too cause I use it to get my team out of badspots (wave 8-10 sometimes 11 just to level to get full-extraction bonus for em). But is all good.

Nope. I play best as a support class. Usually my GE. If I'm in 4th place and see a medal for 50 assists, I'm a happy mper. Just gimme da credits, mang.

I prefer being second, or maybe third. I can feel confident I am contributing and pulling my weight, but I don't have to worry about accusations of 'showing off'.

Well I think I did my job if I contribute 25% of the points to the overall team score. Doesn't matter then where I am placed on the scoreboard. If I score significantly less, I sucked. If more it is nice.

i used to in the beginning, but now I am more concerned about just finishing the match as fast as possible and collecting credits, so that I can get character cards for chars i have already maxed out.

Yes! But if I'm not, and I was part of a full extraction then i'm good.

I scored over 83000 as a soldier, but died in the extraction zone with 1 second left!!!

I was more satisfied with full extraction and me being #2.

When I'm playing well, killing everything in front of me and the team work is there, then I never check the score.

When I'm dropped in with randoms, and nothing is going right (lag, biotics not working, teammates ED'g armor, targets primed for BE are shot by all of my teammates toting tier one weapons), then I compulsively do check the score, if only to add to my frustration Go figure.

I couldn't care less about being number one, but I dislike being in last place, unless I'm playing a support role.

I try not to obsess over the score, but I get a thrill when I'm at the top. :3
