I never check the score until the game is over.

I do not care that really, sometimes I'm first, sometimes not, I only play for fun not for score, because at the end, it will be same for everybody.

But I keep going into Bronze with a Krogan Vanguard and killing everything.

It looks like I'm in the minority here, but I always aim to be #1 in my matches in terms of killing speed and efficiency. Though, I'm happy detonating tech or biotics if I see the opportunity - my love for explosions and the team is stronger than being first.

ah, yes.. "host advantage".  i feel my experience has dismissed that claim.  I join games way more than i host and i am always 1st.  Besides being annoying, the only thing i've ever found the lag to really affect negatively is Vanguards (which we all know about).  it's rare that it causes like my shots to not register or something.

You said it for me. I like to challenge myself to be #1 but those explosions....

I spec my characters for supportive roles with the intention of carrying the team forward and not worry about my score. The only supportive character I play that tends to end up on top is my AJA in a pure biotic team.

That said, eh, it's fun to see how well you're doing compared to others. I dominate some matches, I come in third or last in others. I still had fun and I still get paid. So... :shrug: ?

I try my best to be on top, but never to the point where it compromises the mission. If I get outperformed, I don't mind. I've been last a few times before and at that point I just do my best to help the team and get through a Gold match.

Not really, which is usually a good thing. Nevertheless, on the classes I consider myself good with, I do get a little disappointed in myself if I don't at least keep myself up most or all of the game and at least contribute meaningfully compared to the rest of the group. Sometimes that means getting top or second score, but it's obvious when the team is strong and at that point I'm just happy to be contributing.
