Wow.... Ricky Bobby? You know they were making fun of dumb American attitude through the whole movie right? You also know that scores split four ways now matter how high your score or how low your "last place" teammates score is right? I mean if someone is sitting in the corner not trying that's one thing, or if a person brings down your whole team over and over because they can't contribute to beating gold or silver I understand. If your whole team continually beats gold matches then you have a great combination no matter what each persons score is or what you think it should be. The world will be a better place one you get over yourself, lol (directed to anyone that feels differently)

If you care about being # 1 your playing the wrong game. most of the people trying to be #1 are the idiots running around getting themselves downed or f@%^ing up respawns and getting their teams killed. You care about being # 1 so much go play COD. I'm here to help my team in any way possible. If your not for the team again your playing the wrong game. oh and the people who say I'm a liar can stuff it. I play Battlefield over COD because I believe winning as a team is more important than solo glory.

Here we go again. The idiots who prefer points over teamwork are generalized with normal people who want to be the best. Competitive elements are healthy in games like this, as long as you don't make it a priority. Which I don't, I'll just feel good when I did good teamwork and did reasonably well.

ME 3 isn't meant to be competive It's meant to be CO-OP. I agree competative elements are healthy in competative multiplayer or competative co-op. this is designed to be neither.

I always play as a team player, but it still galls me if I can't get #1 on the scoreboard. I never whine or quit or anything as a result, I just try harder the next match.

Being a highly competitive person, I do kind of care about being #1 on the scoreboard, but never enough to get angry about not being there after the game, nor do I ever waste 'rage rockets' to catch up in score. I do find myself checking my score all the time mid-game though.

People who say they don't care are liars. Everyone is innately competitive, even if it is co-op. Everyone has an ego on some level.

"Everyone is exactly the same as I am!"

Own up to your faults and stop projecting them on others.

I don't consider being competitive to be a fault. As was said perfectly earlier, "competition breeds results."

As long as there isn't a hugh difference between me and the other 3, I don't care. I'm always surprised if I am in the number 1 slot anyway.

Usually only care if there is a hugh difference in the stats between people as its a pretty good indicator we're either not doing so good or are headed that way!

The only time I actually CARE about the score-board is when I'm leading my team-mates by almost double... Then I slow down, I realize I'm playing to aggressively and let THEM catch up and have more fun. Other than that, there is no meaning other than "E-peen" to care about the scoreboard. Just murder whats infront of you, an claim the credits at the end. My brother an i are both this way, we're here to have fun get our credits and move on. Hopefully w/ everyone benefiting :)

I routinely check my score between waves to see how I'm performing relative to the team.

A disparity between scores can indicate several problems, and likewise if scores are relatively even, then the team is usually working well together.

On my infiltrator, yeah.

However, when I'm working with another biotic on my biotic, I don't care about the scoreboard as it's all about teamwork.
(Though I still normally rack up in first place)

*pretentious I'm above every one else reply* - No. Of course score doesn't matter. I contribute to the team in other ways. Like moral support.

*my real answer* - Yes, I care but it's not a huge deal. I try my utmost to be at the top of the scoreboard and am happy when I do. ESPECIALLY if someone tries to kick me.

Am I upset if I don't get first? Not really. Sort of a "darn, next round!" type of thing. It's healthy to be competitive without taking it too seriously. It gives you a goal to make the game more fun.

I tend to be 1st or 2nd on silver games most of the time, but not always. Depends on if the friend I play with beats me or not. Occasionally a random will top us. It really depends on character/map/enemy. If I get outscored, maybe the other person was more skilled, and maybe he was playing operation condor with a sniper rifle instead of a shotgun like I was.

i recently deleted a 2 gig folder of strictly screenshots of the scoreboard where i was numba 1. I would typically spend 5 to 10 minutes a day watching them in a slide show while laughing at all the names of the pitiful pathetic pipsqueaks below my awesome name that has no numbers or X's in it.

I don't make it super-competitive but I do prefer to be top scorer since it means I'm dealing the most damage and therefore 'killing' the fastest.

When I play as the Quarian Engineer, however, I don't care where I am on the board.  There are other contributions I am giving to the team such as FREEZING ALL THINGS.

Please do, I hope that word becomes a 'thing'. I think it's a pretty apt way to describe an occurence that happens all too frequently in public matches.

I really don't care if my score is low, problem is other people think low-not doing his job/not helping-kick. So I try to aim for high scores.
