Typically I don't care about the score at all. When I'm playing with a group and we are working together with strategy and all using mics, then I don't care. If I'm playing with randoms then occassionally I'll look at the score in the middle of the round, but I don't puposely try to outscore anybody.

Here we go again. The idiots who prefer points over teamwork are generalized with normal people who want to be the best. Competitive elements are healthy in games like this, as long as you don't make it a priority. Which I don't, I'll just feel good when I did good teamwork and did reasonably well.

ME 3 isn't meant to be competive It's meant to be CO-OP. I agree competative elements are healthy in competative multiplayer or competative co-op. this is designed to be neither.

No it's not, but there's no point in getting mad at people for caring about that stuff. Let's face it, overall ME3 multiplayer is really repeative, and as long as the player does his best for the team and objectives, what's wrong with the said person aiming to be better than he was last round with points? Like I said, I play ME3 multiplayer co-op and whenever my teammates are down I try my best to get them without compromising the whole team, and I do objectives whenever they show up.

That doesn't mean I can't aim to do better on scores than I did before, or just top the scoreboard to feel good. I don't think people with less points are worse. I just do it to feel more accomblished after a round.

Yeah, something like that. When you play in a good team, results are usually spread evenly, gap between first and fourth is small. Also some people are actually team players and don't mind reviving even if it's bad for score.

3) Lags. It can make game a nightmare for vanguards, biotics, users of Striker, Falcon etc.

@MjrTriggerHappy - good attitude, my type of player. Need more people like you and less Rambos that end up getting everyone killed trying to revive them. Glad you get what co-op means.

in order for this relationship to work, you are supposed to be jealous of my score.  i'm not sure why you feel the need to "be different" but you had better knock it off and start paying attention.

Actually I don't get mad at people for trying to be # 1 I get mad when trying to be #1 has them running around the map like a spaz. If you want to be #1 I'm fine with it. Just don't get your team killed doing it is all I'm saying.

I only care about the score if there is a big difference in points. I love games where everyone is within 10,000 of each other.

At this point, we all know if we can finish a full round or not, so I personally think there's no harm in playing "who's the better killer", as long as the objectives are met along the way. 

Plus it's a little gratifying seeing my level 1 Quarian Infiltrator on top of level 20 Geth Infiltrators.

Really only when i'm playing with my brother, or if I'm for example using a level 1 on silver then i sheck the score to see if i'm actually contriputing much.

I just try to help everyone as much as i can.

It is a cooperative game, not competitive, the scoreboard should have been a shared scoreboard.

I care less about being 1st and more about contribution. If my score is dead last and far from 2 and 3, I'm going to be hard on myself.

I don't go out my way to seem like the hot **** in a game (even though I often score first or second). Being number one makes me feel more awesome than I actually am (which is the only real purpose it serves.) If someone outscores me though, I don't commit seppuku. And I never brag over it. Any fool can squeeze a trigger.
