I remember I was thrown into an ongoing match in Hydra. Wave 4 I believe. Some dude was like, "Ah shiet, not a Krogan Soldier!" Outscored him and his whole team in anger, was kicked out though.

Depends by class. Some classes are more oriented towards support (setting off BEs, healing, decoy, etc.) and others are more oriented towards killing. If I'm in a party with Turian Sentinels/Geth Engineers/etc., I don't pay too much attention to score. OTOH, if I'm in a party with all Infiltrators, or Krogan Vanguards, or Batarian Soldiers, etc., and I have more than everybody's score combined (or DOUBLE everybody's score combined, ugh), then there is a problem.

Yes, yes i do. If in gold during the game i am first in score, then the team probably is not going to make it to extraction.

As long as I'm in the top four, I don't care. I'm rarely last, even playing a more "support" role, but even if I was that doesn't mean I didn't contribute.

That's what I've been dreaming about my whole life, being the first, standing out from the mass in a four player coop game in the internet.

You can get away with rambo rushing spawn points and ignoring your teammates on bronze/silver.  On Gold, a player doing that IS a bad player.  The smart players know to keep a perimeter and support each other, whether you are defending a static position, or whether you are moving AS A TEAM.

Most the time no. I don't even look till the match is over.

The time i do care is if there is a vocal stoner saying he is gona rock the boards and make us look like fools because being stoned makes him a better player. Then I will play extra aggressive and try and double their score. Then I tell him I'm on meth and he should give up weed and move up to the big leagues like a man.
