No level is too low for Bronze. Just today I joined a Bronze match with a level 1 Salarian Engineer (promoted because of the weekend operation). The lag was so bad I could barely even attack enemies, they'd freeze in one spot and then teleport to another a few seconds later. A few times I suddenly started bleeding out because I'd been getting shot at, but the lag had stopped me from seeing it. Apparently the others had bad lag too, because 2 others left -- just me and the host. To top it off, as an SE I was at a disadvantage because we were fighting Cerberus and not Geth.
Still made it to extraction with just the two of us -- in fact, I was the Sole Survivor.
Level 1 is NOT too low for Bronze.

^This^

I will only vote to kick on bronze after 5 full minutes if they don't ready up.

LOL at people who kicked OP. I just promoted my SI and started a Silver as level 1. I came in second and others were levels 13, 15?, 20.

People are dumb.

Personally, I think the boot system is flawed.
I would like a system where the host boots people, their has been so many instances where I was the host and 3 people joined and all voted to kick me on Bronze.

Pressing more than one button to quit out of a lobby is just too much effort for some people. They need to convince other people to press buttons for them.

Wow, that seems kinda lame, although I've seen it happen once before. Let's leave the fact that booting people on Bronze is generally not okay. Common courtesy seems to dictate that if you're hosting a game you wouldn't get kicked out of your own lobby.

My major beef with people getting kicked out on Bronze is that ME focuses on team play and cooperation. That's essentially the heart of the game. Feels like competitiveness has been intergrated into the "culture" of some members of the community far more than cooperation. Obviously not everyone is like that so if someone kicks you out just move on to the next lobby.

Obviously you're supposed to choose the Wood difficulty.

Very strange.

The person who you help at level 1 on Bronze may very well bail you out on Silver or Gold in a few days time.

It's a team game people.

Getting kicked on Bronze because your level is too low is like getting rejected from preschool because you have not yet completed first grade.

The other players were between level 6 and 13. One of the players told the others that my level was too low for them, and that I should be kicked. How else do they expect me to level my Sentinel up? And it's not as if I were using bad weapons. I equipped a Raptor VII and Predator X, which are pretty much overkill for Bronze. And so what if my character is at Level 1? A low level character can still rock the house. Normally I play on silver or gold when my characters are at a certain level and my N7 is currently at 205, so I am definately not a rookie. I seriously do question people sometimes.<_<

You should be able to solo bronze easily if you play on gold. Even with a level 1 character.

This. I play on Silver regularly, and I was able to easily solo Bronze with a level 20 character (quite fun, too). If someone plays Gold regularly and isn't one of those people that's too afraid to promote, soloing Bronze with a level 1 should be a cakewalk.

I hereby crown these two the winners of this thread.  :innocent:

I think they were afraid that you will slow them down and they will lose. Hardly anything I can add.

I was N7 rank 665, and I got kicked from a match of bronze containing two level 1 guys and a level 4 while using my level 19 krogan vanguard. I also had a Mattock VIII and a Widow IX (not big on biotic charge).

And as a response to someone earlier about host booting:I was in a match where guy who was host refused to revive anyone the entire match. He just ran away from downed people and still expected people to revive him. It's not always about being host, sometimes host turns out to be a bad play, thus needing kicked.

I am glad I do not have many of these horror stories, I have been rather fortunate with the randoms I get put into matches. For the event weekend many were willing to tolerate my lvl 1s in Silver matches which I surprised myself in being to hold my own.

Whenever I play bronze with a lv 1 charachter and a lv 20 joins up my first instinct is to go: OH YOU WANNA PLAY?! WELL CMON! LET'S GET NUTS! After that epiphany I make it my personal mission to outscore the level 20 because I'm petty and a little harmless competition on bronze is ok :3
But yeah kicking anyone from bronze is a pretty dumb thing to do unless they were making room for a buddy. This community needs love and tolerance! World of love, loving people!

No one and I mean NO ONE should be kicked due to their starting level, even on gold (though I'm not a gold player). I've played just long enough to know that player skill and weapon quality is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than character level.

These kick stories are foreign to me. I've never had the pleasure of being kicked... :-)

Probably because I hardly ever play public matches...

Try to let level 1 characters rest and hope you get some xp from recruit packs that you buy.
Some classes I can get to level 3 to start.

No.

Pick whichever of the Races in the class you think you can play with the limited Rank it has + whatever weapons you've unlocked.

Throw them into a game, and have fun.

I promoted my 2 favorite classes because of the weekend event, because I didn't have time to play much, and they were "ready to go" along with Sentinal being "real close".

Finally got to play again with the new DLC, played level 1 AJ on bronze with a Carnifex (joined mid game, but I think everyone else was in the teens on one of the new maps).  Got the top score (don't really care, but found it amuzing), got to level 3 or 5 I forget, went for another round.  Got second score up, now was rank 8.  Had enough points to fire up the AA or another race.

Plan on doing something similar with the HE (although, since I usually play HE, that will be more interesting).

I suppose I could try dropping into a Silver or Gold match, but that just seems way too unfair on the other players since a level 1 character won't be contributing as much as a char thats ranked up a bit, but thats just me (also don't have a regular group I play with, the few I sometimes have wouldn't mind it I think, heck, we picked one game for everyone to play whatever class they sucked as.  Infil that couldn't hit a brick wall, adepts that couldn't get off combos, Krogan or Turian who couldn't dodge.  Lots of laughs all around).
