It has been 1 1/2 months since EC was announced and yet there is no news of when it is going to be released. I know it is probably going to take them at minimum one or more months for its release.  So my question is what is taking them so long, because all they said was that it would only contain scenes and dialog but no gameplay at all? Even if the cutscenes are going to be 30 minutes or longer(which I dont think they will be), and even if the cut scenes are going to be 16 different types of endings that reflect our choices, I dont think it should take 3 additional months to do that.

Dont get me wrong.  I'm happy to give them more time for EC if necessary, although I'm not hopeful that I would enjoy it in any way. I dont want it to be rushed out the door, but I m curious as to what is going on behind the scenes since bioware has been so silent on the matter.Posted Image

EDIT: I really think some people didn't read the whole post here. So I have made some of the important stuff bold

Let them take as long as they like.

Seriously, don't try to rush them.

Because they are still creating it.

When they have something to show they will show it.

They will probably have more info on the EC at E3 in June, and maybe even a release date.

It takes time to come up with something worse than the original ME 3 ending, That thing was a masterpiece of crappiness so give them time.

HOw dare they take the time to try and do it right! They should just rush it out the door so we can have another reason to hate them like the good bioware would have done!!

...wait.

As long as it addresses the continuity errors and lore errors they can take as much time as they need.

Well first they have to write a script. Plan out scenes. Get voice work. Animate. It's not a very quick process.

That is if any of this is actually in the DLC and not just Shepard running into a beam in slow motion or text boxes.

They're coming up with great ideas for the EC. Then, they got to figure out how to make it crap. That takes time.

Urhm, it takes time to create new cutscenes and pre-rendered movies, insert new dialogues etc. You're complaining that they're taking time to make it good?

And I doubt they will show anything at E3. I mean, everything they would show in potential EC presentation/trailer would be ending spoilers

Well since they had the VAs in, then i guess that means they are past the script writing phase.

Oh. I didn't know that. Well then that means they have to animate their character models talking and moving around. Unless it's just voice over a scene playing. I'm still unsure if the animation process for computers is slower or faster then traditional paper animation. But either way it takes some time.
