And i'm saying I don't agree. Intpretation  is what you take away from the elements presnted and I'm saying the IT adds elements that were not presented I don't see why it's difficult to understand why it falls under Fan Fiction. I'm not going to agree with you and any creditbility you had is completly lost with me so i'm not going to waste my time to give my perspective because blind fate in the IT seems to work for you.

What elements does it add? Indoctrination has been in the ME universe since day 1.

IT states that the battle is in his head and IM and Anderson are part of him when anderson gets shot shepard has a physical effect yet when IM is shot there is no effect. So it worked for one and not the other? (adding elements) at the end of the game Stargazer said tha Shepard stop the reapers IT says reaper are still a threat. (removing elements) There is text at the end of the game that says Shepard has stoped the Reaper threat IT says thats not true.(removing elements). You can not add or remove elements which means IT= Fan Fiction

That's all just an interpretation of what's already there.

So you are interpreting the very last Text of the game did not happen? lol And Stargazer never happend either lol

Well i'm intepreting that both of you two arguments are stupid

The very last text of the game is 4th wall like pressing a to open a door.. It tells you to buy DLC fergodssake. You look more and more stupid the more you post.

Once again i'm interpreting that you two are morons going so far as contridict the Phrase "Comander Shepard has become a legend by ending the reaper threat". 4th wall just means talking to the audience which is another attempt at a red herring fallacy, but of course i'm the stupid one for not trying to change the last text of the game

No you're stupid for interpreting a 4th wall message with DLC mentioned as proof that the endings are real. In multiplayer, am I to assume my commander addressing me awarded me something called XP Points so that I can train powers? Am I to assume that when I press RS my Shep is actually looking at a map? I mean, really?

LOL at this point you are saying that people shouldn't beleive what text say in the game. They  Say IT people are the most mindless, blind, myter, zealots on BSN I never believed that until now. No sense any wasting anymore time.

This was a moment of emotion getting the best of me BTW. Provoked By an IT fan putting words into my mouth, and accusing me of being to dense to understand or know that indoctrination is part of the ME series.

I was just curious to where and when all of this Reaper tech, artifact, and actual Reaper exposure actually happened.

I have some questions about IT,and decided to do some homework, but get attacked at every question/statement I make.

Anyway, it totally depends on the kind of people you are discussing with. Personally, I've had a few pretty constructive and enlightening discussions with some people who are against the theory, for example one of my classmates. But then again, these people are heavily outweighed by those that call me a zealot, a conspiracy theorist, or cultist. The side that starts insulting first is the one that ultimately have less credence than the other one. In my experience, the group who does this is mostly the anti ITers, but that may be because I don't really pay attention to the threads where it is discussed. I mostly argue via PM.

The same can be said for people who are for the theory, almost vehemently so, seeing it as their holy bible 2.0. They can also ridicule anti-ITers who are looking for intelligent debates, even unfairly get other people to go against the IT by setting totals that shouldn't even (and largely aren't) within the paramitres of the theory itself. Some of the evidence that a few of these ITers post has already been debunked by the very same people who brought it up!

Anyways, the insulting needs to stop. On both sides.

Because what is fact, is that the Indoctrination theory will continue to be a viable interpretation of the Mass Effect 3 endings until having either been disproven or proven. Until then, nobody should see it as 100% true, or 100% false, because only fools are totally confident of themselves.

Anti-IT'ers need to learn the first rule of LSD:

Once you take it, do not assume anything is real for at least 24 hours.  Because it's not.

Same goes for when TIM uses his indoctrination technology on you and you start seeing oily shadows, blue ghosts, and profuse bleeding out of your body where no injury has occurred.

The codex says Reaper minions relay indoctrination signals.  So every time you fought a husk or were near a Reaper, not to mention Arrival if your Shepard blew up the Alpha Relay like the Shepard in the comics did.

My problem is when it is called fan fiction instead of a literary interpretion to impugn its viability when calling it fan fiction doesn't even make sense.

That's because it isn't a fan-fiction. It is a theory. And as such, it is still very viable to be true until it is either proven or disproven. Until then, it is not a fan-fiction.

Also, have you noticed how the IT thread hasn't been moved to the fan-fiction section?

This thread's doing a pretty good job of reminding me what I don't really like IT: Oh, look, another thread filled with arguing over whether or not it's true despite it starting out as something totally different.

Can't talk endings, it will turn into IT. Can't talk about synthesis or control because someone will come in and inform us snidely we're indoctrinated. Can't talk destroy, either.

All right then.

Ok. I don't like IT because I kind of hate POORLY DONE "It was all a dreeeeeam" stories, and I kind of like the theory of the endings (execution? Not so much). Reminds me of a lot of good science fiction short stories from the 60s and early 70s. Being told my opinion is invalid, that I'm stupid if I don't interpret the endings the same way as they do, that being literal is being in denial, that my interpretation of the series is flat out wrong, and that liking control or synthesis makes me personally a bad person and my Shepards failures, all of which has happened in the past week, is rather annoying.

It's honestly biased me against indoctrination theory more than it should have. Don't get me wrong. I like arguing and discussing. Some of the best part of forums. But it's really hard to discuss when people have different base assumptions ('the endings are literally true, let's go from there' and 'it was all a dreeeeeam'), and aren't particularly willing to accept alternate interpretations. And yeah. It's really hard to find a thread discussing synthesis, destroy, control and their ramifications without someone buzzing through and changing the topic to why indoctrination theory is true and why don't you look at these file names?

Hey, I don't like being called stupid, dogmatic, a zealot, etc.  I never said that to anyone, and yet I get rolled into it.  It makes me feel like some f***ing moron who is just in denial over what happened because the ending sucked.  It makes me feel like an idiot myself for even liking the theory.  It makes me feel like an outcast who is some third world refugee who is going to be treated badly because I happen to be a part of something, but never being a jerk about it.  Maybe you anti-IT people need to grow up a bit before coming back here.  Don't like it, then why act like it?  It is a waste of time.

I'm willing to discuss the endings at face value. I discussed them with someone who is vehemently for Synthesis and through discussion, began to understand her logic. I just don't like to be insulted, nor do I like when people use words or terms incorrectly. So really, neither side likes being insulted but both sides have people who insult the other side or take someone having a difference of opinion too personally.
